I really think the voting is close. Actually POFQ probably has the lead, but there are a few posters who have stayed at both and prefer CBR. Not quite sure but it may have to do with the family status of each individual poster. I think parents with younger kids would prefer CBR with the theme.
No doubt that POFQ is geared up more for couples and in my opinion if the bus situation was the SAME at both resorts, then CBR would probably win a major percentage of the time.
The other tipping factor(at least it is in my book) is the boat to DTD. That alone is a MAJOR Factor. I absolutely love the boat to DTD. and you can actually ride it over to Riverside as well if you cant walk that far. We love DTD and every Disney vacation we are there at least 3 times or more. We really dont spend full days there but DTD is our half day thing to do when we are tired.
Alot of times we will do a waterpark and be tired out by 4 pm. We go to the room for a short nap and then take the boat to DTD. Nice and convenient. Or we visit DTD for breakfast and early morning stuff, then get back to the room for a swim and finally go to some fireworks for the evening entertainment. Yes at any resort you can garb a bus to DTD, but I have found that those buses are the slowest and longest waits. For some reason if the other buses to the theme parks are spaced at 15 minute intervals, I always feel like the DTD bus is at least double that time and we see them every 30 minutes or at least every 20-25. And the same with going from DTD back to the resort. Some of our worst bus experiences have been waiting for DTD buses.
That being said, I have never been to CBR, and we did love POFQ, but we also loved Riverside MORE than FQ. I will definitely review CBR after our August trip. I am looking forward to CBR it is the last of the Moderate resorts that our family will experience. Of the other 3 POFQ, Riverside, and Coronado Springs, I feel Riverside is the best with Coronado Springs coming in a close 2nd. The only thing that hurts CS is the transportation. Not that the buses are bad, they aren't. But again it is the convience of the DTD Boat shuttle that gives Riverside the edge. But even with the shuttle to DTD I like CS over POFQ. POFQ has the DTD shuttle but CS has a spa and gym.
I guess in thinking about it i amnot at all a POFQ fan. But that is mostly because the New Orleans theme does not appeal to me AT ALL.
Take it all with a grain of salt it is just my opinion.
