I have never stayed at POFQ before and we have MANY character meals planned. Our last trip to WDW involved an all out full run thru Epcot, pushing a double stroller to get to breakfast at the Askerhaus. The bus from WL was about 25min later than we thought it would be, as well as getting lost during our run thru Epcot. I do NOT want a repeat of that experience!

So, if we have a meal at the _____, what time should we be getting on a bus at the POFQ?
--Grand Floridian at 4:30pm?
--O'Hana's (Poly) at 10am?
--Askerhaus (Epcot) at 9:20am?
--Cinderella's Castle @ 9:15am?
--Tusker House @ AK @ 10am?
--Hollywood & vine @ 10am?
--Chef Mickeys (Contemp) @ 5:15pm

Is the bus the best way to each of these places? I realize I need to go to the MK to take boat or monorail to the GF, Poly & Cont. But I don't know how much time to allot for travel.

Would it be better/easier/faster to take a bus from POFQ to Epcot and get on the monorail there? or go by boat to Downtown Disney and catch a direct bus to the hotels?

Thank you!!

I always plan for a minimum of 1hr transportation time.

Some people just hop on the first park bus that shows up then transfer to appropriate hotel bus or monorail/ferry for the MK resorts. Obviously you just get on the appropriate bus for the ADR's that you have in the parks.

Are you going to be at a park for the later ADR's? That will make a difference in stratagy.

--Grand Floridian at 4:30pm?
If at the resort. Bus to MK, Boat to GF
If at a park, MK - Boat to GF
EPCOT- Monorail to TTC, Monorail to GF
Studios or DAK, DTD Bus to GF.

--O'Hana's (Poly) at 10am?
Bus to MK, Ask if you can be dropped off at the Poly, It may happen, if not then get off at MK and monorail to the Poly.

--Askerhaus (Epcot) at 9:20am?
Bus to EPCOT

--Cinderella's Castle @ 9:15am?
Bus to MK

--Tusker House @ AK @ 10am?
Bus to DAK

--Hollywood & vine @ 10am?
Bus to Studios

--Chef Mickeys (Contemp) @ 5:15pm
See GF, although if at MK, monorail works as the CR is the first stop or you can also walk over, it's about an 8 minute walk.

I would give an hour to get to ADRs in the parks and 90 minutes for ADRs at resorts.

No to both.

Just got back from POFQ and reserving an hour (at least!) travel time is a good rule. The bus routes were a little wacky Thanksgiving week and we would see 2 or 3 buses to a dest before the one we wanted. Bear in mind, the normal non-peak route is POFQ, then 4 stops at POR, south, north, east, west, then onto to parks. But at peak times there were express buses, but you never knew. If there are wheelchairs or scooters to load (seemed a lot in POR), then the ride takes a lot longer! But POFQ was the first stop going back :)

We did a lot of different routes during our 8 days (bus, boat, hopping busses at parks and DTD), even did the bus to DHS and caught the boat to the Y&BC and went to World Showcase the back way.
