Hi all--

Returned from a week at POFQ on Sept 25--one day early due to the visit frim Jeanne. There were more people there than I was expecting, but it was not really crowded and lines were minimal. I was in WDW last year at this time and it was not nearly as crowded. Lots of folks I talked to said that they had rescheduled their trips due to the hurricanes. I was also at WDW the last week of May and I'll take Sept anytime! I am a house\condo person and was not really looking forward to a week in a motel room. Since this was a solo trip, I decided that staying on-site was the best and safest way to go. I enjoyed my stay at POFQ more than I was expecting. It was nice and quiet. The info I got on this board was invaluable. THANKS!!! But, it was still just a motel room. I paid for the convience of Disney transportation and that alone was worth the price. If anyone has any questions about POFQ, I will be glad to help you out.

I will be there in a few days. I can't wait. My first time to POFQ. Stayed at WL in March (04) and thought it was beautiful but I am looking forward to POFQ and I have heard alot of good things about it.

Hi

We will be staying at the POFQ in May/June of 2005. First time I have even been to Disney and I am so looking forward to it. We chose this resort because of the decor, pool, and location. I am just wondering about little details - anything you can think of you might be able to share.

Oh and I heard rumors about fridges in the rooms - was there one in your room, free of charge?

Oh and room size, it will be me and my hubby and 2 girls.

Thanks - I appreciate any help at all.

I get a little shiver everytime - I start thinking of the trip!!!

We stayed at POFQ this past August. We enjoyed the resort very much.

There were no free fridges in the rooms. The rumor is that Disney will be putting them in mods and deluxes within the next year or 2?

The typical room size is 314 square feet. You should be fine with DH and 2 girls.

How I envy you on your first trip to Disney! You will have a ball. The refrigerators are now free if you request one. Maybe by the time you go they will be installed in the rooms! I thought the room was kind of small, but remember I an a house\condo person. The room was very nice--nice furniture and big TV. Look at AllEarsnet.com for some very good pix of the rooms and resort. I had no trouble at all with Mousekeeping-- the room was clean. Bell Services was wonderful and prompt. I only ate at the food court twice. The cheeseburger was standard fare. Be aware they do not serve real breakfast food until 7AM although they open at 6AM. The first hour you can just get pastries, etc. I had no trouble at all with bus transportation. Most of the time you will have to go through 4 stops at Riverside before taking off to the parks, but you get to be the first stop when returning. The boat to DTD was great!! Nice, relaxing ride. The hot tub was divine!! I did not hang around the resort much. Since I was on a solo trip, I stayed in the parks a lot. When I was at POFQ, I was resting and sleeping in the room. I will say that the beds are very comfy and the resort was very quiet. Will be glad to answer any more questions you might have. I am so excited for you and your family!!!
