POFQ or the Beach Club?

We are debating about staying at POFQ or the Beach Club for our October trip. We’re used to staying in DVC resorts, but since they are sold out for that weekend, we have to pay OOP for this trip. Staying at POFQ would save us $800 over the 4 days. I’m thinking the $800 could be spent better elsewhere (Food & Wine Festival, MNSSHP, etc) instead of staying deluxe this time, but I was wondering what you would all do?

I would pick BC ... for sheer convenience
It's just a short walk to the Food and Wine Festival

That is a tough one because like you say, that $800 could go a long way toward F&WF num-nums . I will say, the two times we've gone for F&WF we stayed in the Epcot area and it is so, so convenient to be walking distance. If ever there's a time I want to be in the Epcot area, it's during F&WF (but with that said, my choice would be BWI over BC not to further complicate your question ).

If the $800 difference would make you have to cut out other things that you want to do then I would go for POFQ but if you have the wiggle room in your budget and you plan on spending alot of time at the F&WF then I think the Epcot-area splurge is worth it.

Thanks everyone! We ended up going with the Yacht Club. The fall discount that was offered made the room only $130 more per night than POFQ, so how could we pass that up! Now we can spend more time at the F&WF than on the buses
