POFQ or POP?

I thought I had it all figured out. I stayed at Pop Century in November and was planning on staying at POFQ this October. It will be $200 cheaper to stay at POP. I really liked the resort, but I wanted to stay someplace different this time. However, POP has a kiddie pool and as far as I know, POFQ doesn't. DD really really liked the kiddie pool and it was good for me since I don't really like swimming and I was able to let her loose while I hung out on the lounge chair.

But, I really wanted to stay someplace different. lol.

If I stay at POFQ, I'll probably have to make the trip alone, since my dad doesn't want to spend the extra $200 (he's going with me).

Sorry I'm all over the place with this post. WWYD given the above facts?

I have not stayed at the POP so I'm not sure I can comment on it, but I have stayed at POFQ many times (as well as POR) and been very happy. It's a beautiful resort, and it does have a kiddy pool right next to the main pool (I spent a lot of time there with my little ones last fall).

I do travel often with my parents, and POFQ is by far my mom's favorite resort...

This kind of review is the reason this is so difficult for me. I mean, what if I lucked out last year with an outstanding stay at Pop Century and my next trip is awful? lol. Anyway, I booked POP and will upgrade to POFQ if I can. Thanks!

We've never stayed at Pop but would definitely consider it. We have stayed at POFQ and loved it....I highly recommend it However, if the choice is stay at Pop and travel with your dad or atay at POFQ and travel alone, I'd choose Pop.....HTH...

POFQ, we love it! We will be staying againg this July. We can't wait. It is very well laid out for children.

Last June, I was debating between POFQ and POP. I chose POFQ and hated it!!! It was pretty, but the service was terrible. I have stayed at POP twice since last June and am returning in two weeks. It is really nice for the price. For moderates I love CSR. It is beautiful and the pool is great! They do have a kiddie pool. Since you have a young child it might be a little spread out. I would prefer to either stay at POP or skip the moderates and stay at either WL or AKL.

We have never stayed at POP, but have stayed at POFQ on five different occaisions. We love this resort, and have always had top notch service, and tremendous experiences. Compared to the other moderates, it is smaller and more intimate, and is a wonderful Disney experience. We actually like it better than a few of the deluxe resorts.

I stayed at the POP. The first Disney owned hotel that I ever stayed at in numerous trips there. I had no problem with it. It wouldn't bother me to stay there again. It took a while to get myself to a point where I can find my way around the POP and now that I've got it down pretty good, it encourages me to go back so I don't spend half the time trying to figure out where the heck my room is. I enjoyed the food court very much, except for weekends when it looked like the whole country was squashed in there. Think I'll go out or order out the next time on weekends.

Hey Neighbor!!!

I have to say I've only stayed at POFQ and we absolutely love it. We loved the atmosphere and the "coziness" of the resort. My kids loved the pool, and there was a kiddie pool area and a playground as well. However, if you are sure your Dad won't go if you chose POFQ, then I say stay at Pop. I think you'll regret it if you chose staying at POFQ without him. Try your best to convince him he should try POFQ. I'm sure he will love it!

Another that had a not so great experience at POFQ and a GREAT one at Pop....would pick Pop again!

After staying in every hotel on property I would say stay at POP , save the $ and have a wonderful dinner at Chef Mickeys or somewhere fun! To quote my DH "you will always have more time than money" You will like POP. It is very nostalgic and you will really feel Disney Magic at this resort. BUT this is JMHO!

When Maria (my neice) was about your DDs age, we could not drag her out of the pool at POFQ (back when it was Port Orleans).

I think you'll really like it. If money was not an issue, I'd pick POFQ.

And I do love Pop too.
