dh and i are deciding to give the kids (and ourselves) another wdw vacation in january... it will probably only be about 5 days... since it's not swimming weather (is it?) a "better" pool is not that important...

we stayed at pop in '04 and LOVED it! the kids were disappointed we were not staying there this past trip (just got home a week ago) but they also managed to fall in love w/pofq...

so, what to do for our january trip... we could save big money (we'll need at least two, maybe four, rooms) if we stayed value... but we did enjoy pofq... any pros/cons?

I personally prefer staying at the moderate resorts, and the POFQ is my favorite. It's nice to have the fridge in the room, and I really love the atmosphere at that resort.

i guess my dilemma is the cost... does pofq justify its cost in the cooler winter months when you cannot swim (as the pool/slide and room size are really the only difference between pofq and pop, imo)? since there are only four of us and we take two rooms wherever we stay, (plus possibly additional rooms if some g'mas opt to join us) the room size is not that big a deal (if we were all four going to stay in one room it would matter, big time! but we're not! LOL!)

so, what puts pofq ahead of pop, making it worth the extra few hundred bucks?

Well we'll be at POFQ in January...arriving on MLK day. So maybe that will sway you one way or the other. :rotfl:
