We spent 4 nights at POFQ and 4 nights at AKL two weeks ago. First four nights at POFQ went great. Maids did good job. Everything in place, even though we didn't get to the resort until midnight.
We were really looking forward to our AKL stay, but sure got off to a rocky start. Registered and hiked about 15 minutes to get to our room. Opened the door and surprise, surprise! Someone was laying in our bed! Hiked back to the lobby and met with the CM in charge of registration. She was very nice and very apologetic. Gave us a room with a savannah view! That was great. Called and asked for our luggage to be delivered. It wasn't 15 minutes that they knocked on the door. As they began to bring our luggage in we realized, it wasn't our luggage! Whoops! The gentleman was very apologetic. It was about an hour later that they knocked again, this time with the right luggage. Not the start we had hoped for. The rest of the stay was very nice. We were disappointed in the maid service. One day clean coffee cups were not left. One day I had to walk the halls looking for toilet paper. Some areas of the room were not cleaned during the whole stay. Loved the balcony. Even got to watch the shuttle lift off while drinking coffee and watching the animals.
We found ourselves asking, "Which one is the deluxe?"
