POFQ - boat question

We'll be going to POFQ in Sept. (can't wait!) I've read the boat to DTD docks at the Marketplace side. Would we be able to walk over to the other end without paying to get into Pleasure Island area which we're not interested in? Also, anybody know how long that walk would be? Thanks!

Yep, you can walk around PI if you don't want to enter it. There is a sidewalk around it next to the parking lot. Sometimes there is a boat over to the West Side, too.

Also, within the last month or 2 they just started letting/making people walk through PI without charging them. If you decide to, however, partake of the pleasures of the island then they charge you. Also, as said previously, there is a boat launch that will take you to the west side. We'll be at POFQ 9/23-28. Maybe see you around.
