Do they serve beniegts all day at POFQ, or just in the morning? My dd must try some of these after watching Princess and the Frog. We are not staying there, but I thought we could hop over in the afternoon or evening. I wouldn't mind taking the boat over from DTD. It's a lovely ride. It would be difficult for me to get there in the morning, however. :confused3

You can get beignets all day at POFQ. 3 for a snack credit, or, I believe, $2.99 if you're not using a dining plan.

we've had them for breakfast, in the afternoon & even at 9:00 at night...they keep that fryer going pretty late!

Love those beignets...but don't exhale to hard while eating or you'll be covered with powdered sugar (not good to eat when wearing black, either:lmao:)

They don't keep, either...eat while warm because as they cool the pastry "toughens" up and gets as hard as cardboard (and equally difficult to chew)

We love POFQ and their beignets, but they aren't worth a special trip to the resort. You probably would be disappointed if you'r!e a beignets lover. While you're at DTD check out Goofy's Candy Shop. They have other dessert items besides candy.

Enjoy!

We'll stop by Goofy's candy as well, but my daughter has just never tried a beignets and wanted to try one because she saw them on on the movie. I don't mind hopping over to other resorts for a visit anyway. I like to check them out for possible future visits. :thumbsup2

Actually I tried to get beignets one night about 8:00 this spring break, and they were out. They had turned off their kitchen equipment, so they couldn't make any more that night. They didn't close the food court until something like 9 or 10 that night. So if you really want beignets I'd try to get there by no later than dinner.

I did have a couple of beignets. For greasy, sugary fried dough, I guess they're okay. I've had much better in the real French Quarter, though, and wouldn't make a special trip to POFQ for the beignets there.

we take the boat over for beignets every trip. we sit outside, get powdered sugar all over, and have a good time. :)

But don't inhale either! Eating beignets is an artform that I am more than happy to work on perfecting. ;)

IMO, while they may be available all day, they're much better at breakfast. During the day, they may have been sitting a while, and, as a PP said, they can get kinda tough (as in chewy).

MMmmmmm! Going in November and I can't wait to stay at POFQ and eat beignets every morning for breakfast!!

My wife and I stayed at POFQ back in May 2008 and loved it. We were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. We had honeymooned in NOLA so POFQ was a natural. Although the beniegts at POFQ could not be confused with those at Cafe Du Monde, they are very tasty and we had them most mornings and at one snack credit a great value for breakfast.

I love, love, love them. Never been to the real french quarter, but these suit me just fine! They have always made them fresh every time, regardless of the time of day. We have gone at different times throughout the day with no problem of getting them. We go at least once, if not twice during our trip. Also, if you order a counter service, you can have these as your dessert......yum.....could go for some now!!

We have stayed at POFQ the past two years and love the beignets! This October we're staying at SSR but are definitely making the trip over for a beignet breakfast a couple of times - so worth it! :thumbsup2
