Poem help - can anyone fill the gaps?

I remembered the other day a poem from one of my old Twinkle annuals (about 1969-71) which I'd love to use at the front of my "monthly" scrapbook this year, but I can't remember all of it. My mum only threw them out the other day as DNeice wasn't interested and we have no room to store something I'm unlikely to look at I know it was an English annual but I thought maybe it might be something that's around wider and Twinkle just adapted it for the UK audience. I'll put down what I can remember:

January brings the snow
Makes our ears and fingers glow

February brings the rain
Thaws the frozen lake again

March brings breezes loud and shrill
Stirs the dancing daffodil

April... (somethig about showers and gillyflowers I think)

May brings flocks of pretty lambs
Skipping by their fleecy dams

June brings (something) lillies, roses
Fills the childrens hands with posies

Warm July (something something)
Scatters daisies at our feet

August?

September brings the sheaves of corn
Then the Harvest Home is born (??)

October?

November?

Cold December brings the sleet
Blazing fire, Christmas treat

Any suggestions?

I searched online and found the whole poem. I do think it would be a great into to a monthly album.

Hot July brings cooling showers,
Apricots and gillyflowers.

August brings the sheaves of corn,
Then the harvest home is borne.

Warm September brings the fruit,
Sportsmen then begin to shoot.

Brown October brings the pheasant,
Then to gather nuts is pleasant.

Dull November brings the blast,
Then the leaves go whirling past.

Chill December brings the sleet,
Blazing fire and Christmas treat.

I used yahoo search by putting in the first line and then looking for enteries with poems. It is the easiest way to find poem or sing lyrics if you don't know the title.

Oh, I remember that from the Childcraft books I had when I was little. A good idea for scrapbooking, hope you don't mind me borrowing it.

Fantastic! Well done for finding it! I think the one in my book said strawberries instead of apricots as we don't get them so much over here (or not in 1971 anyway!). Now I can get the title page on my album done wile I wait for the monthly kits to arrive! Just a shame our snow came in February instead of January

Well Scrap Goddess? When is a good time to set this one up? Maybe sign ups in June with due date in August? And maybe do something completely different, like two page layouts in 6x6 or 8x8? Some size that will mail easily. Whatever size Mazda can use, as this is all her fault.

Sounds like a plan!!! I'll talk to Mazda because I know paper is pretty expensive over there so I would hate for her to waste paper if she can get 12 x12 and have to cut it to 8x8. 6x6 is easier for all of us as we would only need 3 sheets of 12x12. Of course she is already in the process of using the poem so who knows if she'll want to use it again.

I'll have to think about it a bit more.

I'm going to use it on the title page of this year's scrap book (using the monthly swap kits) but that's not to say it can't be recycled in another format

I mostly use CM 12x12 and 7x7 - both a pain because they're not exact but I do have an 8x8 non-CM sitting idle......

How's this for an idea seasonal recipe swap! Recipe suited to the month (using as many seasonal ingredients as possible) and I could just ask someone kindly to act as my agent and get me extra pockets for the binder I started with the Valentine swap? Oooohh! I've got lots of ideas!! we could have two groups is lots of people were interested.

ETA if we go for a monthly recipe swap can I bag November please as I've got a great idea for a recipe and embellishments!

I'm happy to host but I wasn't sure how easy it would be for you guys to get stuff over to me, or whether the cost would put people off at $8 a pop (or more if the stuff's heavy) to get it back. I'll bow to your experience of how addicted poeple are
