Passport cards are no good if you have to fly back from Nassau due to a medical, family, or work emergency. That is the reason they want a real passport. But, you do not need a passport as long as you have your official birth certificate. Tom is "spot on" with the KTTW Card. The KTTW Card has your picture encoded onto the card.
