Podcast Cruise 3.0 - 06/24/2012

It's funny how every set of pictures of past PCCs have a picture of Jeff and Val... :)

Jeesh...it seemed like it was 50 days just a couple days ago...it's accelerating!

Well.... maybe you'll just have to see for yourself! :rolleyes1

Oh, Linda. popcorn:: I suspect that picture will disappear as quickly as The Flying Dutchman.

I'm not a happy camper right now. I just got back from the doctor. We are leaving in exactly one month for this trip. I've been having pressure (it feels like there is something in the middle of my chest). She thinks it's my gallbladder. Now I need to make an appointment with the gastroenterologist.

sorry to hear that, my wife and daughter had theirs out last year, but they had pressure on the side and in the stomach area, not in the middle of the chest, hope you get a good report back!

My fingers are crossed for you for a good report.
Please know that GB surgery is often performed as a laproscopic procedure now days. Don't know anything about your case, of course - just trying to give you some general info & hope.
My neice just had her GB removed a few months ago and was back at work within a few days. (She does have a sedentary job.)
Everyone is different, but if it is indeed your GB, and you have to have surgery, perhaps you can still have the surgery AND continue to go on the cruise as planned.pixiedust:
Good Luck!

I have come to the DCL experts. That's you guys. :wave2: I just know about monorails and grim grinnin' ghosts. :mic:

I will spare you the long and boring story of me trying to obtain a passport for this cruise. I finally have my real certified copy of my birth certificate, but at this point is it too late to apply for a passport the regular way and get it back before I leave. I know I could expedite ($$$), but not sure if I really need to.

So...

I know because this is a "closed loop cruise" to the Caribbean, I don't need a passport - birth certificate and ID will do for leaving and returning.

But...

When in Nassau, what happens? I think I don't need a passport to get off/on the ship. Is that true??? :confused3

What does Disney do? Do they give you some kind of ID that says, "Yes, I am legally on this ship - so let me back on!"? Is your cruise ID used for that?

Help me Oh-Be-Wan-with-the-DISers, you're my only hope!:disrocks:

Yep. That's what your KTTW card is for. Carry that and your ID off the ship and you're good.

Sorry to hear this. I actually received my new passport (I had to renew) within two and a half weeks. I'm not sure when you are leaving, but there may still be time if you do it right away. I would expedite it though.

While you technically don't need it, I was told that it is good to have in case of emergencies. There is also something new now called the passport card which gives you access to Canada and the islands. I'm not sure if that is faster or not. Either way, I'd just look into it, but don't stress.

On another note...

Is anyone else STUNNED at how quickly this week has gone by? I swear it was just Sunday a few hours ago! Wow! :yay:
