A colleague at work asked me this question during lunch today, and I realized that I didn't know the answer, so I thought I'd post it here.

I'm traveling solo for the cruise. In the dining rotation, will I be seated with other Podcast cruisers, with other random people, or by myself at the table? I'm fine with any of the three, but since I've obsessively planned every other detail of this trip, I thought I'd try to find this out too.

Hi Dave,

Because we are such a large group, and spread out over the dining times, Disney will make every effort to seat our group in the same general area of each dining room.

As a single traveler, I will almost guarantee that you will be seated with other guests and my guess is that you will be with other Disers. There is always the possibility that there will be none Disers at the table as well.

Disney Cruise Line would never seat a single traveler alone unless the guest made a very specific request.

Great question! Val & I need to conserve some of our DVC points this year and if Dreams can negotiate a good rate someplace we'd be giving that serious consideration.

I guess this means it's been done in the past? Was it in the MCO area, at WDW, or nearer the Port?

Us too! We're also owners at the BW so if they negotiate with S/D, we could still be close!

Thanks for bringing this possibility to our attention.

In the past they have gotten some pretty good rates at the Swolphin. I'd probably go ahead and make some reservations soon anyway, just so long as its not anything that can't be canceled without penalty if Dreams comes up with a better deal.
