Podcast Cruise 3.0 - 06/24/2012

I hope you had a good trip!
We ordered a Fish Extender from Ebay this weekend. DH and I are going on a cruise in October (without kids - yay!) so I need it for then. The kids still don't know about the cruise but I got them to help design the FE. They really enjoyed it.
I think I'll probably tell them about the cruise before we have to make any major decisions. They enjoy participating in our trip planning and I hate to deprive them of the anticipation.

Nothing has been announced yet as far as who the special guests, if any, will be on the cruise. In the past they have all been retired imagineers and long-time Disney people (except Jodi Benson). I would really like to hear from, if possible, some of the people who have been with Pixar for awhile (now that they are part of Disney). I wonder if that is possible? What's the best way to get that request to The Genius (note that I did not put quotes around that John). Does anyone else going on the cruise have the same interest?

I put my faith in John. Of course, I'd be happy with any Pixar genius who may come through, but I suspect that there's already a good idea (and some legwork) about who may be featured! Every time I hear about the "next" event, I am amazed at what they have pulled off. Plus, they have an impressive talent for keeping secrets . . .

Now that the family is back and settled from our Spring Break trip to "the World," the kids are allowing me to start talking about Podcast Cruise 3.0!

I was banned from discussing it before . . .

The same thing happened to me! I'm going to WDW with my family this coming July, and they can't understand why I also want to talk about PCC 3.0!

Thank you for that insight. I didn't know. But I'm confident that John will come up with some great things, and I'm going to enjoy whatever and whoever it is. The hardest part is the suspense before you announce the program. The Pixar was just a suggestion. Shoot, one reason I'm going is to meet the podcast crew in person. Everything else is just gravy.

Now that Al Weiss is retiring perhaps John will consider inviting him.

As an aside, I'm wondering if this was altogether a happy decision. It seemed abrupt that the announcement was made that he had resigned his job "effective immediately", but would remain in some un-named capacity until September.

Just wanted to say HI ! this will be our 6th Disney cruise, my DH is a disney nut, I love it too but don't tell him.We will be sailing with our DS 15 .We are going to the GKTW Cars 2 showing in Ma. next week so hopefuly we will meet some of you then..My DH really wants to out bid everyone on the dinner with John and Kevin..we are also going to the food and Wine at the Swan and Dolphin in October..No kids....
