Phillip and I both need a break so badly that he gave me the go ahead to toy around with a last minute trip. However, I've decided that we don't need it badly enough to spend $1K on airfare, which is what seems to be the case if we tried to do it one of the next two weekends. :(

I'm not surprised at that (it's what I expected), but disappointed. We have so few airline choices out of Indy anyway and that's going to get worse with the Southwest/AirTran merger.
Wow! 1k is crazy Dodie. :scared1: I'd shy away from it too.

Yep. About $485 + taxes per person roundtrip. It's last-minute. I understand it. But I don't like it.

Wow that's a lot of money....too bad you don't live around here...flights are $158.00 per person, which is much more reasonable....hopefully you can find something better.....I'll think good thoughts for you :goodvibes

Hiya cruising friends! Back from a fabulous time at Food and Wine and the Wine and Dine Half Marathon.

I can easily see why it takes people a full week to appreciate the whole of the food offerings during this festival.

Mickey's Halloween 5K was a hoot. Shouldn't have been quite so dedicated to authenticity with my costume though. 5K in old sandals was hard on my toes.

The half marathon was about what I expected, but not quite as grand as the one in January. I wasn't as quick as I would have liked and placed #6283 overall, but I wasn't there for speed. I was there for the experience. And the extra magic that only Disney has.

Welcome back Todd.

Sorry to hear that Dodie. :( We really need a trip as well but I'm shocked at how high airfare is right now. :scared1: I was even trying to find you a deal somewhere out of an airport within an hour or two of you and there were just no deals to be had. :sad2: $776 was the cheapest on SW but you would have to leave on Friday and return on Monday. Not a really great deal at all. Oh well, I was hoping I wold get to live vicariously through someone else getting to go. :goodvibes

I'll get back to looking at pictures and reports from the folks that were there this past weekend to hold me over for another week. :)

Uh oh, I was post #666! :scared1:

Wow! Thanks Bill! I've searched every avenue to no avail myself, but appreciate your trying - even if your motives were vicarious. :)

Phillip and I both need a break so badly ...

Too bad about the too high airfare.
I hope ou can find some place close by for a break. When you really need a break, you really need to take one!

I just realized that I went over my 5,000 post mark and I do not know when I did it! :cool1:

Bummer. If you were able to go this weekend, I would have bought you margaritas at La Cava (aka "The Ditch"). :sad2:

Oh, and I reported the guy with 3 posts who looked like he wanted to spam but couldn't. ;)

I'm right there with ya sister! I had my head down on my desk last night with Jeri rubbing my back saying it's only 60 days, it's only 60 days. Our ten year anni is tomorrow, and in my original plan we would be at WDW this weekend. BUT decided to hang with you guys in Cali and spend our money there instead. (so worth it!) STUPID BUDGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We'll all hang in there together! :grouphug:

Bill: you cute devil you! ;) I had a job number come in with 666 as the last three digits. I was worried, but it all worked out okay! I guess Jesus loves me! :cloud9::rotfl:
