Good Morning Fellow cruisers....had a great weekend (very tiring though)...DBF and I had a LONG talk on Saturday and I think we have worked out a few issues....things aren't fixed yet, but the lines of communication are now open again and that's a good start.

My sister called me last night to tell me that she is thinking about going on a cruise with a singles group. It is a seven night Carnival out of New Orleans. It is over New Year's Eve, a good time for a newly divorced woman to try something different. She knows that DCL is a "better cruise line", but I hope she has a great time.

If she goes with a good attitude, she should have a good time. CCL is more 'vegas'- more 'R' rated, casino, bars, etc. We had good time on CCL, but DCL is better - top of our list.

I think I'll be good thanks Kathy It will make me appreciate it all the more when I step outside of MCO into glorious sunshine -unless it's freezing cold like it was in Dec 2008 but that was handy as I didn't have to carry around a sweater and coat I just wore them

Final Payment is due today for everyone not already Paid in Full.

Tonight at 12:01AM all of us Newbies can attempt to make our reservations for Palo, the Spa & Excursions - hopefully the system will behave for us and we get what we want.

Even though I'm not going on the cruise, I'm pumped too. Can't wait to see everyone at DATW and start our two week vacation. Looking forward to Harry Potter and spending a nice relaxing 10 days on the beach, eating out and shopping in Ft. Myers.

Spent a day helping set up and staff the food tent at an awesome fundraiser night walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on the weekend. A friend of ours was shockingly diagnosed recently. DH fundraised & walked with the company team and I volunteered. Good times and they raised a record $360K!! - the LLS staff were almost in tears

Getting close to final payment date.....then its REAL. And right around the corner!!!!!!

It's here, & we're done! Tho vacations are always real to me as soon as we plan them in our calendar - DH knows there's no cancelling

I haven't been posting in here much. There was a chance we weren't going to be able make the cruise, but I'm happy to say things worked out and paid in full yesterday!!! Now it's time to really get excited!!!

Where are you staying?

We'll be down on Sanibel in less than 2 weeks. There are some really great restaurants on the island. If you don't mind paying the toll to cross the causeway, I can give you a few names...

Quick question, when I "TRY" to book Palo, will it show me what is still available for me to pick from or will it try this - no - try that - no try this - try that no . . .

Yes, I learned about that on Saturday, hopefully I can get through fairly quickly tonight and get some sleep before 4:30AM comes tomorrow morning.

we are staying in the Bonita Springs area, we are planning at least one or two days in Sanibel, depending on weather. The only place we are hitting for sure is the bubble room, let me know what you find!

Don't worry everyone, you shouldn't have any problems getting Palo or other reservations tonight. Last time, when a lot of us were 1st time cruisers and had to wait until the 75 day mark, there was plenty of availability. Last time, I got both the Palo reservation and excursion I wanted with no problem.

I stayed up late to book for PCC 1.0. They system locked my ressie out. I tried to access it until 1:30am, at which point I decided to go to bed.

I tried again once I got to work around 7 and was able to book Palo and the excursions I wanted. So yeah. Relax. It'll all be alright!

Last time I had no problems, THIS time, it locked me out for about 40 minutes. Disney really has to do something about that website, it stinks!
