Making nasty remarks about my weight doesn't hurt or surprise me.

I know I'm overweight and I struggle with it everyday.

You aren't telling me anything new about myself.

You ARE, however, telling me something about your character and the type of person you are.

Yes, indeed I have been called every ethnic, racial, political and homophobic slur I could think of, and then some. But that is neither here nor there. When did I resort to name calling?

And I don't see where I got nasty. I'm sorry if it taken that way. I apologize if anything I said might have been perceived that way.

If it referring to my citing my mother's trip, it was because I was taught that in a discussion, it is best to have facts and examples instead of emotions and ideas to express your side. Obviously it was with a different cruise line with a totally different fan base, but the circumstances are somewhat similar.

I appreciate you informing me that I have not lived up to your expectations; however, I have never sought your validation or approval.

I have tried to avoid being any part of the 'drama issues' that have ensued recently. Emotions can run high and words be spoken (typed) without giving proper thought to their meaning and consequences. I have also felt for an overwhelming majority of the time welcomed here. It seems as that is no longer the case.

I would very much like to know what you are referring. My entire family is obese. Not overweight, obese. I have met you in person. You are a big guy. However, my grandfather, who is about your height has an easy hundred pounds on you. I enjoy 'pooh sized' people. They tend to be happier and enjoy life. There is nothing to jeer at about enjoying life.

I lurk over here every once in awhile and reading this I want to offer a different perspective.

YOU ARE GOING ON A DISNEY CRUISE!! I know I am not the only one, who is not going, who would love to be able to take my family on a cruise.

I probably should not post this. I don't want to make anyone mad. Just want to bring a different perspective.
