Podcast Cruise 2.0 Thread 4.0

Finally surfaced on the forums. Figured I should de-lurk and catch up with you guys as my countdown has me at only 113 days away! Three trips and some 80 odd work days and I can get back down to Disney. Haven’t been down there since 2008. Have they brought Walter Cronkite back to Spaceship Earth yet….oh well wishful thinking. Hope you all are making it through your week.

Back from Portland for my guy's consultation with the eye surgeon. The MRI showed a tumor behind his left eye that is the size of his eyeball! Surgery August 30. Hopefully biopsy shows it is benign and things will quickly get better for him.

Meanwhile, a four day trip to Quebec will be nice treat to keep his mind off the surgery. We are really loking forward to the Cirque show. And croissants. And nice bike rides. Etc. Leaving very early Thursday morning.

Have a fun trip!! I hope everything goes well with Stephen's surgery and the tumor is benign.

Campus is coming to life for Fall Semester...New Students began moving in yesterday...One came to school in a Hummer Limo.

We are busy printing everything ahead of school starting next week. I will be so ready for my Loooong WDW weekend in two weeks and seeing many of my DIS friends.

I'm a little excited. Not gonna try to hide it.

I hope they talk a little bit about the cruise on this week's show.

Some details would be nice. Even if they aren't super specific. But things like times of transfers, if they'll be doing a live show (we all speculate and assume, but I don't recall them officially saying so), maybe some word on any graphics or logos associated with the cruise, how many drinks I can have.....

Finally booked our airfare and added a day to our trip! Now I get to change my ticker and one day closer to vacation! $195 roundtrip from Minneapolis! So excited.....jeanigor-i know what you mean about details, hints, anything to help fill in my planning sheets!

We are having a fabulous time in Quebec city. We are staying at a b&b across the river and take the ferry across.
They know how to make the most fantastic bike paths for riding along the rivers and through the streets so that you are safely out of traffic.
We left the bikes near the ferry and walked up so very many steps to get to the level of the Chateau Frontenac. Next time, I may pay the two dollars and take the funicular!

So very many people on bicycles on a Thursday afternoon, I wondered if anybody was working.
My favorite stop was Veloasis - Velo (bicycle) oasis - for ice cream.

I loved it in Belgium too as the cycle paths went everywhere! I hate it in this country as you often don't even get normal paths let alone cycle paths everywhere. It's not safe enough for me to cycle to work which is a shame.

111.5 days before we leave for Orlando...the double diget dance is coming up fast !!!!

I get to start planning for my October trip with my best friend tomorrow....can't wait to show her Disney my way...she's been before but never really enjoyed it......I think I can change her mind...no..scratch that...I KNOW I can.
