:thumbsup2 to Mom!!

We don't have a Culver's near where I live. The closest on is 20 miles away, so I have never eaten there before.

I'll bet I ate at the Culver's that is not very near you! In Indiana, the other side of the river from Brandenburg, KY. Can't remember name of the city.

I enjoyed Culver's very much, but I think it it the kind of place that should be "a treat", so it is good if there is not one close by.

Agreed. Very rich foods. High in fat and calories and all the stuff that tastes good but isn't super for your health or waistline.

How did the surgery go?

We were talking about lunch!

:goodvibes:goodvibes

Lunch!

We got to the medical center early than we needed to be. They brought him straight back to the pre-op room. Different people asked him lots of questions. Hooked him up to the IV. Then twice he needed to pee!

Back to lunch!
He hadn't eaten since midnight, I couldn't eat in front of him. So during one of his pee breaks, I quickly ate a granola bar.

2:00 they wheeled him into surgery. I quickly walked to the cafe that closes at 2:00 and got the last of the hot food. A philly cheesesteak. Not as good as the real thing, but okay. Also ate a whoopie pie. It just seemed the right thing to do.

The air conditioning is working so well in here that I ate outside on the patio even though it is 95 degrees.

Just waiting for the surgeon to come out to talk to me now.

You may now continue with food talk while I go check out the DCL secrets.

The surgeon just came out all smiles. He said the surgery went well, and quicklly at one hour and fifteen minutes.

Showed me photo from his iPhone of the open surgery showing the big red lump. Another picture with the lump on table next to ruler, it was one inch big and round. All intact and nothing spread, so far so good. I get to go see him soon.

Thanks for all the support!

I am still waiting to go in to see Stephen. I can't go in until he is "coherent", out of the anaestisia. (I know I did not spell that correctly!)

Just had a fire drill! Just like in school. :teacher:

Fan-freakin'-tastic! Glad to hear it went well!

Okay, HE took his own surgery pics??? Or was this the doc, and is this standard medical procedure now, to take pics during surgery on your iPhone?

My wife fractured her ankle and had surgery, so we took pictures of her healing wound and all her X-rays from Doctors Visits. Aside from friends, we have used the X-Rays to show her physical therapists as well as the surgeon/doctor once when they weren't pulled up! Ahh, iPhones!
