Good Monday Morning, Computernut friends!

I wonder how quiet it will be around here with the ABDers out on the Left Coast?

 hi ya Todd, I think only Karen (clamchowder) posts regularly.

So, we'll have to be extra noisy. :rockband:Board may be quiet during Med cruise. :rolleyes1

nuts...:dance3:

Hmmm, I'll have to find a McDonalds in every port so I can say Hi :rotfl:

243 is the calling code for Zaire.
243 Winchester is a popular sporting rifle round.
243 is the largest three digit number of a fifth power (3^5 or 3x3x3x3x3).

:thumbsup2 Who would have thought 243 was such an interesting number :confused3

I was watching a movie mistakes show and in Walk the Line they showed an American address with a zip code however they weren't introduced until the sixties (the movie is based in the fifties) - I never knew this

One could say that. Or that I like to see myself talk. Or my boss pays me to entertain people.

You like to see yourself talk - never :upsidedow
Sounds like a good boss to have :thumbsup2

What's that? I can't hear you over all this clamor!

Sounds like we got the thread next to "those people" who jump on the bed until 4am and talk loudly and listen to music and laugh. Laugh, can you believe their nerve!?!?!

Two hundred and forty-three days until Fun on a Boat, Part Two!!!!!!

Hi Donna - that is so cool you and your DD dance together and with glitter :cheer2:

Good for you keeping a bit of mystery in your life, have a great who knows day :lmao: ;)

Happy Tuesday folks, glorious sunny day today :yay: hope it stays like this despite me being stuck indoors doing a training course today :sad2: It's still nice to see blue skies out the window :thumbsup2

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I'm dragging a bit today. After my normal 10 hours at work, I went to volunteer for my Give a Day, Get a Disney Day shift.

I volunteered at a place that offers clothing and food to families in need. There were about 18 volunteers that were there, all of whom seemed to be there because of the GAD-GAD promo. The organization had been having volunteers come since the beginning of the promotion. Overall, they seemed highly overwhelmed, even though they had been having extra people for a few months. We moved boxes around a bunch haphazardly. A lot of double touching and double moving. Normally, that wouldn't be that big of a deal. But when it was cases of water and taking them up and down ladders, it got a little tedious. We also sorted and bundled clothes. I was surprised how much of it was from stores like Express ans Ralph Lauren with the tags still on. There was a wide range of ages. A couple families with kids in elementary school. A family with some middle school kids. And even a guy there around my age with his parents.

My Who Knows Day just turned into more housework (spring cleaning) and look after the 2 new guinea pigs. We let DD get them last night. Juarez and Hermione. ;)
Maybe I should post some dance video to FB first...:thumbsup2

Sounds like a good effort for a good cause! But I am very glad mine was a 2-hour sitting task. I am much better at those! (sold daffodils for cancer)

I just realized my birthday ticker is confusing. Yesterday it said one month. Today, 4 weeks and 1 day. :confused3

It's good that it helped out a organization that helps people in need.

I do my GADGAD this weekend. I am working the Lost Child/First Aid Station for the American Red Cross at Thunder over Louisville (The Opening Ceremonies for the Kentucky Derby Festival). Thunder over Louisville is a Airshow followed by the Largest Fireworks Display in North America.

On a Good Weather Day the crowds are estimated to be between 500,000 & 1 million people lined up along the Indiana & Kentucky Banks of the Ohio River.

When I did my GAD I signed up for a 3 hour shift and after 30 minutes we were done and they sent us home. Crazy how different everyones experiences were.
