Happy Podcast Day folks!

I'm a dork so ABD has me tingly right now Yeah, you guys leave right after our trip is over I haven't checked out your itinerary yet...what ports of call are you at?

We did quite a bit...unfortunately boxes of the stuff came home with us...DH wants to pull apart the hanging file folders and recycle them rather than put them in the garbage. Most of them are "like new" so I'm going to see if I can give them and hundreds of file folders away instead

There are 7 ports we've never been to any of them before which is good

Here is a link to the itinerary but a couple of the days are swapped over.

Good for your DH for recycling, but I agree they may be put to better use in one piece

There's a fabulous hotel right down the road from me here...that's where the infamous DATL took place... Cambria Suites

Tonya stayed there...as did AskTracy and J-Kim and Susan (I think)...you could probably get some info from them about it!

It is a very nice hotel. Spacious and well appointed.

(And if I recall, Brandie stayed on my pull-out couch after the infamous DATL so she can give you some info also.)

Oh yeah...I did sleep on the pull-out sofa in Tonya's room. It was very nice!

Hey...the more, the merrier for the Indy meet! It would be awesome if everyone could come! (Jen? I still think you need to come!) Last year, we met up the Friday night before the meet and played at Dave & Busters...then met up for the official Meet on Saturday. After the Meet, a group of us (Tonya, me & my DH, Shanan & Jason, and Tracey) went to dinner at Houlihan's and goofed off around the mall. Then we went to Tonya's hotel after a trip to CVS for supplies and sat around and drank and watched movies and talked in the lobby area of the Cambria Suites. (Just ask Shanan how much she looooooooooves amaretto! ) The next morning, we met for breakfast with the same group plus Chris and his family and Aaron and his family. It was a fantastic weekend overall!

I did not forget Shanan. I'm not sure if we'll make this or not. We only planned to stay a couple days but were going to drive from MA. So time is an issue there and then parking in the city. Seems every hotel wants $50 a day to park! Getting something cheap near Grant Park seems to be out of the question. We wanted to just be able to walk to and from the Taste.

I'm sure there is probably a cheaper option outside of the city and a train in. I just haven't had the cycles lately to research this stuff. Work has been a bear the last couple of months. I'll keep an eye out though if an official topic starts up.

Okie dokie, just checking! I don't know how many people plan on going...maybe I will start an official thread after our April 18th meet at D2D. And there are lots of hotels near us in the Schaumburg area (D2D is close too) and I can help you with the trains. It is pretty easy!

There is quite a group (including Rob - guynwdm I think and his father!), not much planned with other Disers as we'll be so busy seeing places. But Pete is organising a get together one afternoon for us all

Yeah we've been 'roped in' to do some work too - should be a lot of fun though

Good morning and happy Friday computernut friends!!!

The weather here is as odd as ever. The beginning of the week, G wanted the air conditioning turned on because he was hot. Last night, I had to turn the furnace on again when I got home because it went down to about 60° while I was at work. Crazy.

Last good day of easy commutes to work for a while. I pass two high schools on my way in and when they have a break or day off, there is very little traffic. Come Monday, it'll be dodge the texting-while-driving teenagers again. Yippie.
