Happy day, everyone! Thank you for all of your encouragement and "welcome aboards". I'm so happy that I can hang out over here and not feel jealous or like an "outsider". I love this group! It's good to be back in the mix!

I know what you mean, I was a wee bit jealous of missing the fun of DAP after having so much fun on PCC 1.0. Glad you are joining us on the cruise! You and your family are going to have sooo much fun!!!!!

Hi Kathy!!
I am having good days and bad days with the knee. The meds the doc gave me are helping a lot, but I could do without the side effects though. I haven't stayed up much past 10 pm since I started taking them and that is pushing it, usually I am out by 9. I can't take one of the daytime doses because I wouldn't be able to function coherently.

What happened to your knee? :guilty: Take it easy, I hope it starts to feel better!

DH and I just booked this cruise today; so I'm jumping in the discussion! I started listening to the podcast about a month ago and was instantly addicted!

Woo hoo! Welcome!!!:banana::banana: Maybe us DISer's will be half of the ship...we are getting awfully close! :dance3::dance3:

As for me, I have 180 more work days. I will still have 2 1/2 days left, so I have take those before the cruise, then make that 177 1/2 days left to work! :thumbsup2 Sounds much more doable!

My meeting was a success. Provided more results than expected. Always good when that happens.

My working day count is 192 until the cruise. Less if the boss extends the 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day or Thanksgiving holidays.

Still better than the two hundred something on the ticker. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 I hope you do get extra days off - always a nice bonus :goodvibes

Kathy I hope you get to come on the cruise with the boys. They will love the cruise! :yay::yay: I don't understand your school system down there, but we are taking our boys. They loved the first one! I figure take advantage while we still can. When Kenny gets into HS I may have to change our vacation plans and times that we travel, but for now we are taking them. Up here the schools can't say or do much until a child misses 20 days in a row. We haven't pushed that boundery yet. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

So how many days was it 19 and a half :rotfl: ;)

I don't blame you for doing it while they are younger though, there will be quite a few years when they won't be able to get time off school so do it while you can :thumbsup2

I do hope we make up half the ship :dance3: Everyone else will wonder what is going on :lmao:

See, if you do selective maths it can always sound good :rotfl:

Happy Thursday everyone  Almost the weekend :woohoo:

I know how you feel Tracy. Best of luck with your recovery. Injuries stink! We need you walking and ready to go for the cruise! :thumbsup2

Thanks Paul, I am still moving, just a little slower pace. I just wish I knew what I did to my knee in the first place.

Shanan,
I don't know what I did to my Knee. It swelled up and my calf muscles were knotted, which was very painful when I walked. The Doctor gave me a anti-inflammatory med and a muscle relaxer. The swelling is down and the muscle has relaxed, but I still occasionally get a stab of pain when I am walking. Stairs are the hardest as I get stabs of pain when I climb up and down. I have continued my walking but at a little slower pace and am taking cues from my knee to determine my time. The doctor recommended to keep exercising to loosen the knee back up.

I always love seeing a CM with the sanitary wipes. :rotfl:

:headache: She was talkin bout me. :)

George, Sani wrap man was actually our server. He was very clean. :rotfl2:

...and his blood did not smell like cologne. :worship:

Wow - I have to fill out paper work and submit it at least 2 weeks in advance to pull DD out of school. I am getting used to it though!

Just sayin'...

Knees are sneaky that way...I do recommend therapeutic massage if you can swing it. I messed up my leg muscles trying a stupid dance move that I knew I shouldn't try last December. I hurt my knee and needed 2 massage appointments to get back on track to my "normal" pain (arthritis)
