What is this? Something new? Regional?

I think we discussed this a month or two back - I've always know about it, before 12pm on the first of the month you can pinch & punch someone (once you've done it they can't get you back) a brief description from Wikihttp://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/pinch_and_a_punch_for_the_first_of_the_month

As kids we did the 'slap and a kick for being so quick' - it kind of put me off doing it as a slap and kick hurt more than a pinch and punch. Also my Mum used to say it was good luck to say 'white bunny rabbits' if the month didn't have an R in it

We love Biergarten! Count us in too! It would be so much fun with a bunch of DISers! We could probably fill half the room, if not more! And then we can dance!!

Morning everyone. Today is my last day off until the 15th. I should be in a great mood by then.

I finally paid off our Baltic Cruise yesterday. Now I have to start thinking about saving for PCC 2.0.

When is the Baltic Cruise? It will be interesting to hear a compare / contrast between that one and PCC 2.0.

We were planning to visit some friends that live north of London this summer anyway and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to jump on the Magic while over there. This will be really different than PCC 2.0 since this trip is really about all the great ports while the Caribbean cruises are more about the ship for me.

We had a fish funeral last night. DD's first pet. I wish I would have video'd it. DH ran the ceremony. He allowed us the chance to say a few words, then recited very solemnly, the words of the immortal - Dr. Suess...One Fish Two fish - at least the first page or 2. Very appropriate for a blue fish.
He ended it with a rousing rendition of "When the Fish go Swimming up" to the tune of " when the Saints go Marching Down"

I have decided that this has to be done for me. Within the last week, my bank card was comprimised, luckily the bank shut down my card prior to any theft, I lost a battle with a canteloupe and now the fish. That's 3 I should be back on track right?

We have started to get better at bandaging and with a good bandage and a whole lot of patience, the only thing I really can't do is go to work. (yay for paid sick days!)

Sorry to hear Siri's fish didn't make it.
I would have paid to be at the funeral, sounds interesting.
Well at least you got the card shut down before anything was purchased on it.

I just wanted to get the thread moving again - honest

I think the majority were from the earlier pages when they posted 10 pages of nonsense over night, so I thought I'd have a go too


When we were looking at flights yesterday we saw that if we fly out a day earlier - Thurs 9th Dec - we'll save £100 (about $150-155) so we've both had to check at work - DH's boss seemed to have forgotten he even asked about it last June (to make sure he could take almost 3 weeks off work) but after forwarding him the e-mail he remembered
I'm ok here to take off the Thursday so that means we'll get there a whole day earlier and still leave when we had planned to

I'm hoping this means we can make it to MVMCP

Yay a day earlier!


I think our check in day will be on the 9th checking into Disney that is. We are planing on do 3 nights 4 days universal before Disney.
Then Disney 9-12, then cruise 12-16, then disney 16-? we are going to see if John can get the time off so we can do New Years again! However we won't know if we can do that for a few months.

Hoping to stay that way, I have been very busy trying to get back into the swing of things since getting home. (insert running around like a chicken with you head cut off smiley here). That and I have been dealing with some DD since getting home. I am trying to make a point of pulling myself out of the dumps, I have never experienced anything quite like this before.

I hope you can swing that And I think doing Universal first is a good idea, we thought about it but we need to save money and as we have DVC the accommodation is kind of already covered. Will you be driving this time too?

I hate the time just after coming home - seems to get a bit worse each time too I hope you perk up soon, I'm sure it's the time of year as well - spring is almost here (I hope) the days are already getting brighter
Best thing to get over it is plan the next one, I'm so glad we have a trip planned. I'm just getting impatient now as I want to start planning the days and meals

On my way home last night I was driving along the highway I usually go along and I heard a thud, I looked over to the passenger side and my front windscreen had a large crack (about the size of a hand) Luckily it's still intact but I will need a new windscreen I think it was one of the travellers/gypsies with a pellet gun (there is a static 'camp' just over the hedge near the highway where they live - not sure if these travellers travel or not anymore ) as no-one else would have been there, it was pouring with rain and there are no houses right there.
I'm just glad it didn't totally break the windscreen but it's still a hassle getting it replaced and I'll have to claim on my insurance (first time since I passed my driving test in 2006 ). It's very frustrating as I know I can't do anything other than pay for it, the police wouldn't be able to prove it was anyone in particular. When DH came home (about 30 minutes after me) he saw a police van there - a dog section one - so it looks like they tried to catch someone, I hope they did.

Our friends live in Potters Bar, although they are moving somewhere closer to London in May. With a 3 year old the cruise is the only way I would do this much traveling in Europe. I would love to spend time taking the train around, but that is not in the cards until DS is a little older. I am hoping for an upgrade since we are cat 9 and there are still a number of rooms with balconies available.

Good morning all!

I have sent back the teenager I had borrowed from my sister now, as he is back at school today. It was nice to have the help, and another Disney nut in the house. Due to parental issues with him, he hasn't been able to get a passport to travel to WDW until he is 16. He is 14 1/2 right now and has admitted he is looking more forward to getting his passport than his driver's license. He really wants to see WDW himself.

Well I am now caught up.

The withdrawl after such a long trip sucks. At least you have the ABD trip planned. That should help. If we need to - we could plan a dinner and share pictures and stories from past trips.
