Just checkinng in - are many of you out shopping? or shovelling?

I've been shoveling on and off all day just trying to stay on top of it. The snow keeps coming-I've been waving the white flag trying to surrender, but it gets lost in all of the snow!

Lyn, So far you are clear in Flying into Louisville we have had all rain thus far, it may switch over tonight but we will only see a dusting at most. Too bad this is such a short trip, that we won't get an opportunity to meet up as you pass through. My condolences to you and your family.

Good morning everyone - hope no-one has been to badly hit by the snow? I saw it on the news last night how bad some parts have been hit - puts our couple of inches in perspective

Today in 1937 Snow White was released

Good Morning Everyone!! Happy Monday!!
I only work three days this week. Then we have our Holiday Break. I am taking a few extra days off after the break ends so I will be off from work for 18 days total, before I have to return to work for five days, then we have the MLK Holiday.


We got a dusting of snow overnight. I think this is the most snow we have got all season thus far. The heavy snow that had been in the forecast for Christmas eve/day is now an all Rain event for us, so no White Christmas this year.

I am flying to KY tomorrow for my uncle's funeral. Hoping going through Detoit we will not have snow problems.

I would have waived as you flew over if I had known. I was busy baking cookies Saturday morning.
Yesterday, DP decided he wanted to go to the mall. And once we got there he was upset that it was so crowded and busy. What did he expect for the weekend before Christmas???

What a crazy holiday season. I am still scrambling to wrap stuff up. It's my own fault of course I made and sold some bears for Carl's great Aunt to give to her Grandchildren. I made one of Siri's presents - that one took me 2 1/2 months - just finished it and wrapped it last night.
I have got to be more organized next year with a cruise in the middle of December!!

I don't know how the DAP people managed!

I will be wrapping like a mad person on Thursday and hoping, I don't find I need something else from a store. I Generally do 90+% of my shopping the two weeks after Christmas with the after Christmas markdowns and then also pick things up through out the year.

I am trying to decide what to do for next year since with the cruise and my Pre & Post stays at Disney, I will be gone most of December in 2010 getting home just before Christmas eve. I am thinking Money or Gift Cards may be the way to go next year.

Gonna do a kid swap with my girlfriend this week so we can each finish our shopping. 75% of everything is wrapped and ready.

Tonight we are celebrating Chris's birthday and have more cookies to bake.

I hope everyone gets their presents done and wrapped We've just come back from delivering the last of ours - it's horrible here and getting worse, roads are really tricky

Next year I plan on dong all this by the end of November it'll be nice to have it out the way so we can get all our vaction things ready and packed

It didn't get any worse over night so the roads were ok this morning, I'm hoping some more snow will melt today - looks like it will be a touch warmer this evening too.

Got some last minute groceries to get, I'm guessing it's gonna be busy but it can't be as bad as Christmas eve will be - did that once, never again

Hi Everyone! Good Morning, Happy Tuesday! I have two more days of work then my long holiday break begins.

I got to have an unexpected DIS meet last night with Lyn (Mainegal) here in Louisville. She had flown through Louisville to her Uncle's funeral which was yesterday. Her flight home last night got canceled and the airline put her up for the night in a local hotel. She called me and it worked out that I could go over and meet up with her. Chance had it, I was still at work when I got her message and her hotel, was about a mile from my office. We sat and talked for three hours. It was great getting to meet her in person.
