Morning all! My kids are off from school today again due to the snow. They were only supposed to have a half day tomorrow before starting their Christmas break, so I wouldn't be surprised if that is cancelled as well. So they get the great pleasure of coming shopping with me at the mall. I think I'll bribe them with a stop at the Disney store!

Hi Everyone! Good Morning, Happy Tuesday! I have two more days of work then my long holiday break begins.

I got to have an unexpected DIS meet last night with Lyn (Mainegal) here in Louisville. She had flown through Louisville to her Uncle's funeral which was yesterday. Her flight home last night got canceled and the airline put her up for the night in a local hotel. She called me and it worked out that I could go over and meet up with her. Chance had it, I was still at work when I got her message and her hotel, was about a mile from my office. We sat and talked for three hours. It was great getting to meet her in person.

Here is the picture we had taken, just before saying goodbye until PCC 2.0.

I got all my groceries today - so now we're all set for Christmas day, just got a day and a half at work The store wasn't too bad and they had most of what I wanted - I just want it to be Christmas eve now, work is very boring

We're watching Gordon Ramsey cook reindeer right now - looks interesting

It was so cool that I got to meet up with Tracey in Louisville.

I was kinda mad that my flight home was cancelled. They offered to fly me to Boston or Manchaster and send me to Portland via a couple hour cab ride to get me to my car by 3:00 in the morning.

I am quietly saying to myself - put me up for the night so I can finally meet Tracey!

What fun!

My grandfather brought reindeer back from Sweden one time (how he got it past customs, I am not sure) My reindeer sandwich tasted like gamey ham. It was good though.

I am now at Mom's. DH dropped DD & I off early for Christmas - I can help her cook. AND I left about 1/2 the wrapping for him at home

That's interesting about the reindeer meat - when he got to a certain part we had to turn over - I don't think that part of a male reindeer should be eaten

We actually had reindeer sausage during our trip to Alaska in 2008. They didn't tell us what it was until we'd tasted it. Sausage is so highly seasoned, that I couldn't tell any difference between it and regular summer sausage or smoked sausage. That didn't mean I was happy about "eating Rudolph" on a cracker with cheese.

Merry Chirstmas everyone. I am working my last few hours on clinics until February. That means no 7am rounds and lots of time to catch up in my office and play in the lab. Also have an 8 day trip to WDW planned as well.

I am now officially on my Holiday Break!! I am off until January 11th. (I am taking the first week of January off to extend my holiday break otherwise I would have to go back on the 4th)

I am now officially on my Holiday Break!! I am off until January 11th. (I am taking the first week of January off to extend my holiday break otherwise I would have to go back on the 4th)

As for me.... thought I was doing so well when I finished allll my wrapping on Sunday until my son's girlfriend came home from college and came over tonight and I realized I completely forgot about her
