Bought some canned pumpkin at the store last night. The news has been saying it will be hard to find soon due to a bad growing season.

I just saw a field yesterday and wondered why the pumpkins were rotting in the field. That could explain it.

Hi all! Still too busy to think straight!!!! UGH! I need to sneak on more from work instead of trying on my days off.

I did this by accident once and got some very yummy, thin, cookies with lots of burst bubbles. I think I even wrote up the recipe.

Yeah I think you need to work less too and do somethng more important ;)

The cookies were ok - really soft and chewy :lovestruc Bubble cookies sound like fun :rotfl:

just like y'all to know that it's going to be 41c here in Sydney today. that's 105.8 farenheit!

:scared1:

Holy Cow! That is surface of the sun hot and then some :scared1: Do you guys have air con generally? Here we don't tend to have it as standard as we don't always get a hot summer but most houses have central heating for the winters :cold:

So are you having Christmas at the beach? :santa: :beach:

no air con :( we are renters so there's not much we can do about it. we have a fan though... :scared:

i think in Sydney maybe 2/3 of homes have air con. noone in my building does though!

i've never been to the beach at Christmas! i think that's a bit of a myth  except maybe for the Irish backpackers :rotfl:

but actually i will be in Thailand for Christmas this year! in Chiang Mai, not the beach but still - a bit exotic!

I am very sorry. That is just too darn hot. If I could send you a tub full of ice to cool you off, I would.

I hope you managed to stay cool :goodvibes is this normal for you guys? I hope the fan helps :thumbsup2
thanks Becx! it's not really normal... for November at least. we are guaranteed to get a couple of 40+ days in December/January though. usually the heat builds up over a few days, hits the high mark, then there's a huge summer storm which cools everything down. the storms can be pretty spectacular!

Well I hope it breaks soon! We used to have summers like that where it would be in the early 30's for a few days and then we'd have a thunder storm. But in recent years we've just had wet summers and it hasn't been as warm.

Good morning everyone - Monday again :sad2:

Yesterday in 1995 Toy Story was released and Beauty and the Beast was released in 1991 :thumbsup2

Happy Monday folks! :wave2:

And it's a SUPER short week with Thanksgiving this wk so it IS a happy Monday! :thumbsup2

:scared: :scared1: :faint: That's approaching Animal Kingdom hot! :rotfl2: Glad you cooled off in the theatre for a bit at least...hope it's more comfortable there now :goodvibes

Going to plan my holiday feast today...DH doesn't eat turkey so I'll prolly stuff some cornish game hens as our roast beast. Watched the Grinch that Stole Christmas last nite and it made me think of Pete's review of the US character breakfast he did last year so I just made reservations for it for Dec 26 - DH won't know what's going on when we get there :lmao: :lmao:

cheers,
:flower3:

Oh yeah, hope you have a great Thanksgiving :thumbsup2 Do you get just the Thursday off work or the Friday too? I'd love to see what Thanksgiving is like one year (when we move to the USA :goodvibes hopefully!) I've seen July 4th which was so much fun.

OMG you will have a blast at the breakfast :rotfl: I saw the video too it looked like a whole lot of fun :goodvibes Let us know how it goes!

Thanksgiving isn't as......exuberant as the 4th of July. Lots of eating and watching American Football on TV.
