I don't get it. Looks like Mickey in "black face" wearing a crown. Or is it a tiara?

I think they try to get an abstract look but have familiar features that relate to the theme. There have been quite a few sets released - I think there's normally 12 in a set and when you buy them you don't know which one you'll get! You can buy a box which will have at least one of each design. I think because you can't see what you'll get that increases the desirability and collectability. As I say I'd love to start collecting them but I just can't justify it - cost and space (and DH - 'why do you need that?' 'where will you put those' etc. do not allow )

I think they should do one with a tiara for Todd

It's always a bonus, and that's when the fun starts b/c you are on vacation!

Very intersesting how infrastructures fail so soon without man to be a caretaker.
Nature prevails eventually, though.

I find it fascinating how quickly nature can take over and the animals that colonise areas or get out of zoo's / safari parks seeing elephants roaming around America I didn't realise concrete was as susceptable to the conditions.

I was just wondering how many more posts I would need to have half the posts on this thread.
Not counting this one the total was 701 and my post count was 215.
I need another 271 posts (total 486) which would bring the total number of posts to 972. 972 divided by 2 = 271

701 + 271 = 972
972 / 2 = 486
486 - 215 = 271

That is assuming no one else posts in the meantime
Actually if you assume you can post once per minute (can't be bothered to work out what 40 seconds would be) it would only take me four and a half hours to get there

I've had b-day coming out my ears for weeks. Glad next week starts pie season, followed by cookie and pie season.

As for the mischief...I plead the fifth.

Does anyone know if baking soda is the same thing as baking powder and if they're different how they may affect cookies? I used my Mickey measuring cups for the first time today (I got them in Sept) I just hope I didn't over or under fill them Recipes here are done by weight not volume so I'm a little nervous

They are different.

You can substitute baking powder in place of baking soda (you'll need more baking powder and it may affect the taste), but you can't use baking soda when a recipe calls for baking powder. Baking soda by itself lacks the acidity to make a cake rise. However, you can make your own baking powder if you have baking soda and cream of tartar. Simply mix two parts cream of tartar with one part baking soda.

I did this by accident once and got some very yummy, thin, cookies with lots of burst bubbles. I think I even wrote up the recipe.
