I love Thanksgiving! It is all about being with your family and EATING!! We will be going to Michigan to hang out with my family. I cannot wait! I haven't seen one of my sisters in almost 2 years! :scared1: And another sister has gone through puberty since the last time I saw her. :sad1: She is 12 and my Dad said she is as tall as me now! Should be a good extended weekend!

"Could I be wearing any more clothes???? Whoooo, it's hot in here.... maybe I'll do lunges!!"

Love it :lovestruc :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

About 5° cooler than surface of the sun hot.:thumbsup2 And 10° hotter than "I can fry an egg on the sidewalk" hot.

Oh, have a safe trip :goodvibes Time really does go quick, enjoy your time together

Good morning everyone

Today in 1999 Toy Story 2 was released :yay: November seems a popular time for releasing movies.

Good morning/afternoon everyone!
Don't seem to get much time lately but wanted to say hello. I have about 10 pages to catch up on!
So how long till Toy Story 3? Is it due out next year?

Does anyone know if they ever have movie previews on the cruise ships?

Not until June!
I saw the preview when I saw A Christmas Carol Satuday.
I guess it makes sense. Andy graduates and goes to college, sounds like June movie.

3D Alice in Wonderland comes out in March.

Thanksgiving Day in the US used to be a blockbuster day to release movies in theatres. I can't tell you how many times we went to see the newest Disney movie after we ate the turkey. (Then went back home for another round.)

Can't wait for both of these :thumbsup2 I'm hoping Alice in Wonderland will be creepy and disturbing as it should be :rotfl:

Oh man, you guys have the best holidays  I knew I should have been bron in America

So is there a movie out for this Thanksgiving? What Disney rip-off are Universal doing next ;)

Happy Tuesday folks! :wave2:

Oh yeah, hope you have a great Thanksgiving Do you get just the Thursday off work or the Friday too? I'd love to see what Thanksgiving is like one year

Thurs is the stat holiday, but most US companies give the Friday off as well (unless you're in retail :scared1:). I think that's why it's such a big deal here cuz it's really the only 4-day weekend of the year. DH lucks out and his company is giving him Wednesday off as well   So of course, I took it off too ;) It's TGIF for us :thumbsup2 A 5 day weekend! :woohoo: :cool1: :woohoo: I guess we'll need time to recover from BF shopping :rolleyes1

When you come for T'giving head to NYC for it...absolutely magical with the Xmas displays up, and of course the Macy's Day Parade...I had a tear when the Sesame Street float went by

 This reinforces my decision to not pull the plug on me! :worship: DH & I have had several of these types of discussions - he wants it pulled right away for himself. Can you imagine if the patient could hear everything that was going on and the family had "the convo" at his bedside with his medical team to pull the plug?!?...true horror for the patient. :scared:

Woo hoo 1st on page 51 ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 following on that egg theme...
- So hot the hens are laying hard-boiled eggs
- So hot you could incubate chickens in your armpits
:rotfl2:

So is there a movie out for this Thanksgiving?

Ninja Assassin - yes, DH & some friends want to see this :sad2: Matrix directors so I'll be there! ;)

Have a wonderful, wonderful T'giving weekend all - gobble, gobble! :goodvibes

cheers,
:flower3:

How much time is everyone planning on taking off around the cruise? I'm trying to plan my vacation time for next year and can't decide how much to take for the cruise.

I'm thinking come in on Friday. Tour and meets on Saturday. Embark on Sunday. Sail through Thursday. Tour Fri, Sat, Sun. Return home on Sun.

Not enough? For PCC 1.0, I came home on Monday.

I will probably also do Friday before until Monday after. It was a nice span of time.

Our "plan" is to be there the entire week before the cruise and a couple days after. That may change a lot between now and then.

Have you seen your standings on the DAP threads?

Yes I have hon!
I am working very hard these days, can't you tell! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
After all isn't this what you are paying me to do!
I am after all your PA. :rotfl::rotfl:

I was just wondering how many more posts I would need to have half the posts on this thread.
Not counting this one the total was 701 and my post count was 215.
I need another 271 posts (total 486) which would bring the total number of posts to 972. 972 divided by 2 = 271 :cool1:

701 + 271 = 972
972 / 2 = 486
486 - 215 = 271 :cool1:

That is assuming no one else posts in the meantime :lmao:
Actually if you assume you can post once per minute (can't be bothered to work out what 40 seconds would be) it would only take me four and a half hours to get there :thumbsup2

:eek::eek::eek::scared1::scared1::scared1:

I know what you mean about the coma thing :scared: It's like being buried alive :scared1:

Haven't heard of Ninja Assassins - what's it about?

We're going to fly the Friday before (10th) and stay through Christmas :santa: until the 28th/29th:cool1: as Gav has to work that Friday. I have to take of the days between Christmas and New Years as the whole company closes ;)

Or a secret webcam :scared1:

Does anyone know if baking soda is the same thing as baking powder and if they're different how they may affect cookies? I used my Mickey measuring cups for the first time today :cool1: (I got them in Sept) I just hope I didn't over or under fill them :rotfl: Recipes here are done by weight not volume so I'm a little nervous :upsidedow

They are quite different, and let me know the outcome for your cookies!

I think we are going to get there the Friday before and stay for two weeks-ish after. One week at Disney and one week with my family in Melbourne. I think that will put us in Melbourne for Christmas.

I'm thinking of coming in late on Friday the 10th - probably not in time to do anything that night. I'm thinking we'll leave on Sunday the 19th, but maybe earlier.
