I think it was a 4th July cake, we normally eat hotdogs (but with proper sauages) soup and burgers as it's chilly this time of year

As this Christmas draws near, the decorations are starting to pop up here and there (although a bit prematurely), and it's bringing a sense of excitement for the podcast cruise 2.0. I keep thinking about how beautiful Castaway Cay and the ship are going to look at Christmas time. I am constantly amazed at how fast 2009 is going by and I can only assume that 2010 will fly by as well. It will seem like forever, but in the rear view mirror, it always just flies by.

There are going to be so many great happenings between now and then that will fill the gaps along the way. So, as you pick out your lights and garland this year, keep an eye on the horizon, we'll be sailing before ya know it.

Oh, my! Woke up to snowcover! So pretty.
Am pleased that I slept well and all through the night and even through my morning walk. This could help me stay awake for the drive home. Maybe I slept better because I did a good workout at the gym last night, I haven't been there for a couple weeks.

Looking forward to a good weekend.

It'll be a solo trip for me, DH is too busy in December to leave, and I have no desire to take my kids out of school during the last week before they are off for 2 weeks at Christmas.
