Happy Wednesday everyone. The "heat" wave is past us..now comes rain forcasted for the next 7 days. Oh joy. We have a saying around here...if you don't like the weather in Tidewater, stick around, it WILL change. Hope everyone has a Magical Day.

Happy podcast day folks! :wave2:

When I opened the door to the basement the washing machine went floating by. We had 6ft of water. Thr fire dept actually went down the street pumpimg out all the basments.

 :scared1: :faint: I was wondering how our friends clean up from something like that...how do you get all the water out of the floors...from underneath the floors, does all the flooring need to get replaced...hurts just thinking about it :headache:

You should also check your Mii Plaza to see if a certain Senor makes an appearance. :)

I'll check the mingle setting and do that...thx for the tip. :thumbsup2 The self-portrait of SJ did show up...fun to see your interpretation :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Did you see mine? I gave him sleepy eyes to match his portrait :lmao: :lmao:

After DH's annual checkup, he's been told for the 2nd yr in a row that he has high cholesterol, and he's finally agreed to do some excercise. So on rainy days he's going to use the treadmill and I'll hop on the wii otherwise I walk with him afterwork. He wanted an uber treadmill so we got one in November and he's used it 2 times since then :sad2: We'll see how long this exercise kick lasts :lmao: :lmao:

I saw a mouse in our garden the other day - the poor little thing stuck it's head out of a hole and saw me :rotfl: we looked at each other for a while then it darted off!

It was prolly Remy's cousin, wondering what morning treats you had for him :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good luck with news on your car Tracey! pixiedust:

Happy belated Tonya :cake:

cheers,
:flower3:

Hi Karen! Glad you saw SJ. :rotfl2: I've not seen yours yet but I'll check the Mii Plaza tonight. Hope Your DH is able to lower his cholesterol. I might pick up Wii Sports Resort this weekend. Looks like fun.

Get it! Its awesome! Be sure to pick up an extra "adapter" for it also. You'll need it to play multiplayer on most of the games.

Just thought I would post and say good morning to all. :thumbsup2
I am patiently waiting for the show to be up.
Have a great day! :)

You're better than me. I am not quite so patient. The writing on my F5 button is starting to wear....

I hope all goes well with the car situation.
If it is totalled, I wish you well in breaking in (another) new car.
If the insurance company says it is fixable, I hope it forever runs as well as a car that was never in more than a typical rainstorm.

And... is there anyplace else you can park?

The insurance company has deemed it fixable. I too, hope it doesn't experience issues related to the flood. I will be back on them with every minor glitch, that's for sure.

Most of the lots and the parking garage on my end of campus flooded as well as other parts of campus too. The campus sits in a bowl, with viaducts that capture the water on each end of campus that fill up if necessary to help with drainage, unfortunately, we got 6+ inches of water in 1 hour, that had no where to go.

The one lot that didn't flood is reserved parking only which costs $$$$ for a permit to park there per year and that's after being on a wait list for more than a year for a space to open up. The one regular lot that didn't flood, was minutes away from being under water, as the water was moving toward it from 3 different directions, those people were lucky the rain stopped when it did.

Today I am working and WAITING.:hyper:

I am waiting for the podcast to be posted so I can hear about DAP and I am waiting for my e-mail from DU that finally confirms our deposit and registration for the April Adventures by Disney Backstage Magic trip with the team.

Tracey don't be afraid to push your insurance company to total the car if you think that is what needs to be done. I would get 2 or 3 good body shops to look at the car and them ask them for there honest opinion. If they think the car should be totaled push back. If they still will not total the car ask them to detail in writing what they will and will not cover should the car have ongoing problems. Don't be rude, just persistant. A lot of the times the body shop guys have a very good relationship with the adjuster and if you get them on your side it will help a ton.

Good Luck

Morning/afternoon Katherine :wave2:

Wow great news for 'the event' sounds fab

Happy Thursday everyone... Just wanted to pop in and say hi and see what was going on.

I have so many threads I am following these days I dont feel I give them all their correct attention :) but I am trying to get better!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh, my! :goodvibes
Good morning to all who come to these happy boards!

Good Morning Everyone, a little late logging on this morning.

Insurance Adjuster called yesterday. Still arguing whether the seats got wet. Like I don't know the difference between wet and condensation. UGGGGH!!!
It kills me they don't want to look at the pictures I have of the car under water, and the after shots I have that clearly show the water lines on the car.
They are still waiting on the new carpeting for the interior to come in.

Hi all - hope all have a good Thursday. I love this working from home. Wish I could always do it ..

Hope everyone has a great day.... :)

Oh, they really like to drag their heels :sad2: - I hope they pull their finger out and get your car sorted, as if it would be condensation in the seats - the flipping car was under water :fish:
It bugs me how hard it is to get anything back from an insurance policy, yet if they need anything from you they set their dates. Then when you do successfully claim they put up your premium - so you end up paying for it eventually

Good morning everyone! :)
Becky it must be afternoon for you by now.
So good afternoon to you. :thumbsup2

TGIF folks! :wave2: Well, at least for us ;)

We're moved around some flex time and will be heading to the big county fair with some friends tomorrow. It'll be our first visit but they're big into it - enter into judged competitions, etc. so it will be fun to have them show us around...I can smell the fried dough now :rolleyes1

Becky, a carrot?!! now if you'd left out a grilled portebello with aged balsamic drizzle... :lmao: :lmao:

Get it! Its awesome! Be sure to pick up an extra "adapter" for it also. You'll need it to play multiplayer on most of the games.

How's it compare to wii sports? We have a lot of fun with that but if Resorts has a lot more different games, I might be interested in it too.

After the fair tomorrow, I'm heading off on the weekend to celebrate my dad's b'day. A couple of my bros and their families are heading there too so I'll get to catch up with them, and even meet a new nephew for the first time. They'll only be around for less than a week but I'm having an extended stay to help my folks out with this and that, and get in a good visit with them, other family & friends. So I'll see y'all here after Labor Day.

cheers,
:flower3:

Tracy I am with Scott here.
You will need to be persistant, remember their job is to pay out as little as they have to.
