She is wondering why her kids don't want to spend any time with her! They won't leave the clubs.
Good one!
I'm guessing they are wondering this while sitting in the Cove Cafe. :hyper2:

I am new here, but hopefully will get to know you as time goes on over here.

:welcome: to the Podcast Cruise thread!

I can't answer any questions about any recruiting. I have been sworn to secrecy. I think it involved kool-aid.

J/K. I don't know anyone here, either...at least not very well. But I am going to jump right in.

You will definately get to know us - just be prepared for a thread that moves 10 times as fast :scared1: But most of it will be fluff ;)

I'm so wonderful to get to know someone else. The best way to make your presence known before hand is just post all over, as someone will recognise you and that is really nice - feels like you're already good friends :thumbsup2

And only a couple of us bite ;) Only joking

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Mine was boring, as usual, but at least I wasn't working! :thumbsup2

I hope everyone has a great week! I know I will since I'll be on vacation Thursday and Friday! Woo hoo! Short work week for me! May kicked my booty work-wise, so I am sooo ready for some time off.

Talk to y'all later! :)

Have a nice easy week and enjoy your vacation - going anywhere nice?

She is wondering why her kids don't want to spend any time with her! They won't leave the clubs.

:thumbsup2 and she'll wonder why she ever missed them on 1.0 ;)

hey everybody! I just booked the podcast cruise and have a question....i looked at disney website to see what rooms are still available and then req one of them, I can't believe how many rooms have been booked! So is it true that there are only a few cat 11 rooms left on deck 6 and thats it?? Oh a maybe a few on deck 5...deck 7 seems to be booked...and also if you req a room with dreams unlimited and give deposit does your room get held then or assigned at a late date...thanks!:woohoo:

Oh and I know this is all relative, but I get veryyyy sea sick, I reserved deck 6 towards the back of the ship (all middle rooms were booked) on the inside..is there a better spot?..once went on a rccl porthole room front of ship and was very sick the whole time, I heard lower decks are better maybe I should get a cat 10 and be on deck 2?? opinions??

how can you tell which rooms are already booked? :confused3 That would be cool to see...:thumbsup2

But I wonder if some are "booked" because we are holding them?

yeah, i wasn't so sure if the rooms were booked or being held....if you go to travelocity, or disneycruiseline....and act as it you are booking what cat you want then they will give you some rooms to choose from

I had this long post all typed out last night...as soon as I hit submit, the DIS went down. I think I broke the DIS last night! :scared1:

So i've been kinda MIA on the boards since we got back from the cruise...as you may have noticed. A few of you knew of our predicament and I wanted to take a minute to update everyone...

DH got a job!!!! We both lost our jobs back in March. We did the irresponsible, but MUCH needed thing and went on vacation. We sat down and figured that we would have lost more to cancel it than we would have to just go. So...in desperate need of a good time...we boarded the Wonder with you crazy people. We also were pretty confident that he would have a job offer by the time we got back to Orlando. He'd had a string of really good interviews right before we left. Well, that place didn't pan out. He was competing with someone from within the company and they chose to go that route. It sucked, but not much you can do about it...

So we came home and he hit the job boards again, applying for things that he was well qualified for as well as a few pie-in-the-sky kind of jobs. One of them (a pie-in-the-sky company) nibbled. He had a few phone interviews and then did his face to face on Thursday morning. They called Friday and offered him the job!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: He's now going to be working for one of those companies that you just never thought possible...he's VERY excited! Decent pay with awesome benefits...we're both really excited!

I still need to find a job though...unfortunately his starting salary isn't enough for me to stay home and not work...:rotfl: I've begun applying though. Just no one's called yet.

And to add to all of that frustration...DH has had some medical issues. It kind of came to a head right after we got home from the cruise. So i've been dragging him around to doctors for tests...and so far so good! He's got some family history of some things so it's not surprising, but I was REALLY worried that it was worse than what we thought. He's had a variety of tests...some not so pleasant...and i'm happy to report that my worst fears have not been realized...no tumors or anything like that...what he does have is going right along with his family history so it's not surprising, just inconvenient. I'm just glad that it's not what I feared most...

So...i'm hoping that all of this means that things are beginning to go our way again! For those of you who knew what was happening, thank you for the support...I really, really appreciate it. I have some of the best friends on the planet! :grouphug:

Oh yeah...and i'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! :thumbsup2

Congrats Matt and Brandie!

Grr, double post.

Posting error means that you have to buy around. :goodvibes

Good morning everyone. Another hot and humid day here in Orlando.

I love the new pics Kathy.

Good morning everyone! I think this is the earliest I will ever post, as I went to bed at 8pm last night!

Brandie- Congrats on Matt landing a job! That is fantastic news:woohoo:! Stay positive good things will happen :yay:.

Having a good weekend here, yesterday went downtown to Chicago for blues fest. Today, going to breakfast with my dad. He is in town from Michigan. Then going to lunch with Ann and her family :woohoo:.

Hi Shanan! :wave2:

Jason and Shanan...

We had such a nice time with you two and Aaron today! We will have to do it again soon. Anytime you want to go back to Angel Towne, let us know!!

Logan is still asking when we will see Aarond again. He's added a "D" to his name. Kind of cute. :)

Thanks so much for waiting for the tow-truck with us!! You are wonderful!!

I hope everyone had a nice Sunday! We sure did!

Hi Ann! :wave2:

I think that may be a good plan if you tend to be a bit more introverted.

Anyone want to chip in to upgrade me to a veranda stateroom so that I will stay IN my cabin on PCC 2.0???:happytv::happytv:

UH NO! I would never let you just sit in your room anyway. ;)

Carnival's rooms are much smaller than Disney's. The room sizes from category 5 through 10 are the same on Disney (not including verandah size). The basic room size, not including the closet, hall and bathroom are about the same in the category 11 and 12 as the category 5 through 10. There may be a little bit more room in the categories 5 through 10, but not much.

I've always stayed in a window or a verandah size on Carnival. The cat 10 on Disney seemed to be about the same as the window and verandah to me on Carnival.
Do you think that is correct Tracy?

Mojeeetoes for everyone!!! :woohoo:

Sounds good to me.
Stay in a smaller room and come out and play with us Mike.

You shouldn't look at Disney's Website to pick from available rooms. They only show you 8 rooms that are available and they are based on what your party size is. Since you have two people, they will not show you rooms that will sleep 4 until all the rooms that sleep three are gone. There are many, many category 11 rooms available on deck 6. If you checked your reservation since the deposit was paid, you will see that I was able to get your first choice in rooms. If you want a midship room, you should email me and let me know that and I'll get a new room assigned. For sea sickness, you want to be either midship or lower in the ship or both.

But I wonder if some are "booked" because we are holding them?

No, we are not holding staterooms, we are holding space. Room numbers can no longer be held without names and deposits paid. I have checked and know to a reasonable degree of certainty which rooms are available on this sailing and in most categories, there is a considerable amount of availability. Category 6 and 7 are the exception and I have posted a thread about this.

I just checked on the Carnival Glory and Valor and their rooms are 184 sq ft which is close to the category 11 and 12 on the Magic and Wonder. The older ships were smaller than this.

Would that be the size of the rooms for the unofficial PCC 1.5?

I am undecided...but was interested in Cat 7...so should I book and then cancel later? What is the penalty? And can we go straight through you and not have the computer assign us someone else? :cutie:

No clue. The non-suite rooms on the Freedom of the Seas range from 160-188 sq feet (not including balcony if applicable) and on the Monarch of the Seas they range from 119-157 sq ft. These are the two ships currently sailing out of Port Canaveral in July 2010 so I imagine it will be one of them.

I am the only agent handling this date so you will be stuck with me. That's why I know the availability, I need to. Why do you want to book now and cancel later. What am I missing? You can't book two rooms for the same people on the same date. If location isn't a huge concern and you may want a category 6 or 7, I would hold it now and switch if you need to later. When your deposit is paid, you lock into that pricing tier.

I would like to have you, Tracy! :goodvibes

I am just not positive I am going on the cruise yet at all...so I have not booked anything yet.

You would be able to cancel the reservation up until September 27, 2010 for a 100% refund. If you can make the deposit now, I would recommend reserving now.

Sorry, I don't know everyone's DISboard names yet so I assumed you had already booked.

If Tracy spiked a Dole Whip, would it be called a Dole Whipple? :goodvibes

How many rooms are there on the Wonder?

More specifically, how many in each category?

I am sure that I could count all the rooms on each deck, but I am hoping someone (Tracy?) already knows.

That is cool! I have no idea how in the world you can keep up with all of this anyway...much less with our "alias"...:lmao:

Are we going to play Monopoly or Canasta?
