I am a huge fan of the podcast, looking forward to the new ones each week. However, I hated the podcast about the California Food & Wine Festival. Maybe I am just spoiled by the regular crew. I had a signifcant problem with the sound. It kept going up & down with a lot of background noise. I had to keep adjusting the volumn. Many times I couldn't hear it so I would turn it up. Then it would suddenly get loud. It seemed as though there was no organization to this podcast. The hosts were all talking at the same time frequently. The biggest problem that I had was it was so boring. I listen in the car while I drive to work. I kept turning it off because I didn't want to be put to sleep. It actually took me a long time the hear the whole podcast because I just couldn't stand the whole thing. I kept listening, hoping it would get better. I know now if that crew does another podcast, I just won't bother listening. I really enjoy listening the the regular crew. You are informaive & entertaining. I have a lot of respect for you & what you do. Thanks for what you do

I didn't mean to insult anyone. I might have enjoyed it more with better sound quality. I also would have liked it better if everyone wasn't interrupting each other. I'm not used to a podcast with only one topic. On the regular podcast, even if it's one a certain topic, there is always housekeeping & news that cover other things

I agree there were sound issues that need to be resolved. But I enjoyed it because it's just a different podcast than the usual. I don't compare them, they're not the same. And from what everyone says, neither are the parks, Disneyland can't be compared to WDW (I don't know, I've never been to California).

I enjoy the California crew, they genuinely sound like they're having fun doing it. Certainly everyone's entitled to their humble opinions! This is mine. I've never been to California - but the California crew always succeeds is making me want to get there.

These two statements don't align in my personal opinion. It's one thing to provide feedback, but did you think that those folks aren't regulars here on this board?

The west coast folks aren't professionals. They are volunteers. They don't have the same experience (or equipment) as the folks on the "regular podcast." They work hard and sound to me as if they're having fun doing it.

I've listened to the DLR correspondents and Dave Parfitt's podcasts, and I agree that the sound quality isn't the greatest. But I've had no problem with any of the content.

Maybe it's because I found all the topics interesting? Or maybe because I listen to a variety of podcasts, I have no problem adapting to different styles? At any rate, you don't have to listen to their podcast segments, as you said. I'm sure they know they are not going to appeal to everyone 100% of the time.

But I figured I'd give my feedback that I do enjoy the content even if the sound quality is hindered. I guess I felt the need to speak up because the correspondents should hear the positive as well as the negative.

There was something worth talking about at the DLR F&W? :lmao: We were at DCA on May 2, and I had been excited about being there during the Food & Wine Festival. I was hoping for some food booths like they have at Epcot. As far as I could tell - they just had some seminars and the usual overpriced tastings.

The weather was great: 70s/80s during the day and 50s/60's in the evening. Both parks were very crowded that Sunday. Fortunately, Monday at Disneyland was much better. That 2-day visit ought to hold me for another 4-5 years until the next visit to SoCal. On the other hand, I can hardly wait to return to WDW in December.

:duck:Wow, that is harsh. I completely agree with Dodie. Feedback is one thing, the DLR correspondents are volunteers. I personally thought the show was great. I guess that is the thing about opinions.

I enjoyed that podcast! I felt the DL crew were very informative and told us their experiences with a great deal of fun and class!

But then isn't that what this is all about? Telling us about the experience? I think the Disneyland crew does a fantastic job and they should keep right on doing it (that's just my opinion)! I'm sure I could not do it as well as they do.

Thanks DL Crew!
