Good morning! I'm glad our Fantasy cruise is in 2012, because I DON'T like the 2013 prices at all!

What do you plan on doing in 2013? I am waiting for the other sail dates to open up. I have a dummy date from my cruise to put toward 2013.

My DBFs son graduates college in 2013 and for his graduation present we are taking him to WDW for at least 8 days. He's been there before but not with us (they stayed off property...he didn't know there are water parks, DTD or AK), so we are going to show him Disney our way !!!

That sounds like an awesome trip! I hope DCL releases the dates for the Magic and Wonder soon. I can't wait to book!

I would love to take a cruse with DBF, but he has no interest in sailing...he's an ex-sailor and has no desire to get on a ship....ugg....Oh well, I'll just have to sail with my girls and leave him at home....lol

I am going to chime in - I have to admit, I don't think we got a bad deal on a 2013 cruise - had our Dreams TA (Beth Fejer - LOVE her) all prepped with what we wanted to move a dummy date to when the 2013 cruises were released. Yesterday AM ~9am, she tells me she moved our cruise to our Spring Break/my birthday 2013 (March 9th Eastern on the Fantasy) and our preferred room (which was reclassified a Cat higher). The price was reasonable - it's $800 LESS for 2A 1C than our June 2012 Fantasy Eastern, but it is a little more than this Podcast cruise. Depending on what is announced for the Magic/Wonder, we may or may not keep it.....

The summer and winter holiday cruises are outrageous, though

I guess I won't be going on a Christmas cruise anytime soon. I thought it would be fun, but if you are paying a lot more then it isn't worth it.

I put the Nov. 23 Fantasy (Thanksgiving) cruise on a 5-day hold - simply because DCL made an error when loading prices for the new cat. 7a balcony cabins. (They were less than insides or oceanviews...for a few hours!) However, it's another western Caribbean itinerary, and I really have no interest in going to the same ports on the same ship in 2013, so I'll let the reservation expire.

I might be interested in moving an onboard booking to the Magic if it returns to Europe in 2013, but that depends on the itinerary and the price.

I don't blame you for not wanting to do the same itinerary 2 years in a row. Europe does sound nice. I am hoping that we can do a West Coast cruise in 2013.

A West Coast Cruise is something I'm interested in...love seeing new places. That's the reason why I left PCC 3.0 and moved it to 4.0. I've been to Nassau, and it's really no big deal. I just don't see that I can do it in 2013...who knows what the Pod Cast crew will come up with for PCC 5.0 or 6.0.

So cruisers, just to let you know, we have 414 days until we sail on the Fantasy !!! Oh, and it's my birthday.....

If you thought the Emerald Princess was a behemoth - the Disney Dream and Fantasy are even larger!

I'd not thought about that - the size did not bother me much. It's just often the larger the ship, the less the charm and then it becomes all about do, do, do. We actually relaxed on the cruise with the Emerald. It was port intensive, but we balanced that on our sea days. We had a great experience in toning down the cruising experience and letting the cruise come to us rather than us attacking the situation!

And I have to say - Aruba is a place to visit again and again - I am ready to go!

Had a great day; spent a couple of hours this AM at Hollywood Studios, then headed over to Epcot & enjoyed Food & Wine for lunch. Home at 8pm. Hope y'all have a nice weekend! I will of course be working, then Monday I have to start sewing DD's Halloween costume.....

Its interesting that you say this. My wife and I will be on the Dream next weekend, and she is having reservations about its size already. She loved the intimacy of the Magic. Idk, may be the length the cruise could be the real issues as 4 days seems like not enough for a larger ship as apposed to 7? I guess in a few short days, I'm going to find out lol.
