Kelly, I thought the same thing - the books are just what Tonya described them as they are a love story/triangle - the characters just happen to be Vampires and Werewolves. I highly recommend reading them, I think you will be surprised and actually like them.

And Brandie and I persuaded Tracey just by "watching" Twilight on a laptop with our commentary (and a little wine). :rotfl2: Gotta love a good DATL (drink around the lobby).

I can't believe I didn't know there was another book. I'm showing my Twilight ignorance. I just looked it up on Amazon...looks interesting.

You can actually read the new book online (http://www.breetanner.com/) if you don't want to buy it but Stephenie Meyer is donating $1 to the American Red Cross from the sale of each book.

This is very weird -

I think I just felt a small earthquake tremor :confused3

strange feeling when your desk chair starts shaking

Freaky.....I just felt like my chair was like a tire swing....maybe we're going coo-coo together.

I got more of the story from you & Brandie than I did from watching the movie.

perfect analogy Todd - couldn't think how to describe that feeling.

DH said he heard that it was centered in Quebec

There are 4 books in the series. Definitely not very scary but easy to get sucked into the story. The books are 10X better than the movies but I can't resist watching those either. They're so bad though. :confused3

I may get them then.

Don't forget the 5th book that just came out! The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner.

Thanks :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!

Trying to catch up on this thread this morning. I've been reading, but not posting. Since I dislocated my shoulder Monday morning (ouch) I can't type very well, although I have been working the last two days and it hasn't been too bad. I have to keep the brace on my arm, though, until I see the doc next week.

Thanks, everyone on Facebook, for the terrific birthday wishes!:flower3::wave2: I'm thinking that going to see Toy Story 3 popcorn::would be a great way to spend my birthday evening, but we'll have to see.

We are getting a new bathroom tomorrow (thanks Bath Fitter!), so we need to (or Jeff has to) do some work to get the sink and toilet and stuff out of the room so they can work tomorrow. Time to finally say goodbye to the pink, tiles, the pink tub and the pink floor - Yay! Gotta love those 50's and 60's colored tile bathrooms...

Have a happy Wednesday!

  So sorry about your shoulder

:bday: :cake: :cake:

Have fun with the bathroom, we always seem to have a bigger job than we first thought with whatever DIY we have to do :sad2:

What colour are you doing it?

Actually, I have been reluctant to redo the room since I like the retro look, but I'm just so sick of seeing PINK. I did threaten my dh with decorating the new bathroom with Mickey Mouse. He said it wouldn't be so bad, but since it's our only full bathroom in the house, we thought it might be a little much. (I'm still thinking about it, tho;))

It's gotta be Mickey

Woot! England won!

:yay: Yey, so more football :headache:

;)

Just a quick PSA - I noticed my Southwest fares have dropped :rolleyes1

It has always been my belief that the first Twilight movie is more of a supplement to the book. If you only watch the first movie you just won't get "it". Even Rob Pattinson said recently that if he hadn't read the books he wouldn't have understood Twilight from seeing the the first movie - and he is the star of the movie. :confused3

When I watched the first movie after reading the book, I was very disappointed in the movie in how much they changed the story and how things happened.

I may check it out online first...if it seems like I'm going to like it, then I'll purchase the book. Thanks for the info!!

Thanks, Becky! Not sure about the colors yet. The tub/shower and the walls will all be white now, so the floor and the upper walls will need some good color. If we did go with the Mickey shower curtain I found at Target, we could paint the walls a bright yellow. We'll wait and decide after the work is all done.

I checked SW for our flight and glad we are taking the train. Up to $268 RT per person. I'll take my $100 train ticket and call it a day. :goodvibes

We went with a white suit and half white tiles with blue on the other walls. I think white tends to be more popular if you're selling your house, when I was little we had an avocado bathroom suite with dark brown tiles :crazy2:

Glad you didn't pay the higher price for your flights :thumbsup2 Just looked at ours and they have practically tripled :scared1: and that's on a trans atlantic flight :woohoo: :woohoo:

I got a brochure from Princess Cruise Lines in the mail today.

Photo on p 1&2 is of a nice grey haired couple. Is this the cruise they expect me to go on? A cruise full of "old folks"?!

(Not that I have anything against old folks, mind you! I almost am one myself.)

If they think they're marketing is hitting the target audience...boy are they wrong.

Morning all - 6 months until Christmas Eve :woohoo: :woohoo: :santa:

Have a great Thursday :cool1: :cool1:

Happy Friday Eve!!!!!
