Can you put your own music on this or do you have to use the Disney Mix Clips?

there are ways to put both your own music and video on it. If you are creative and or tech savy. I tape alot of things from the TV and our home movies. The older ones won't take more than a 2 GB SD card but it looks like the one on Buy.com is the newer style.
I have 9 of these in the family and I am in charge of loading and organizing the content for all of them

I got DD8 one for Christmas and tried to use the included software but it stunk. I also tried Windows Media which stunk as well. How do you manage the music on these babies? After playing around, I found the easiest option for me was to create a new folder in my documents called Kamryn's Music, load that folder up with whatever she likes, and then drag and drop onto it via windows explorer. Does that work best for you?

I'm trying to pre-load it with Christmas songs so that when she gets it in her stocking Santa will be even more magical....

I load my songs on with Windows Media Player. The Mix Max needs to be in the MTP mode. Video is another story. there are a bunch of ways to do it. PM me if you are interested.

I tried Windows Media and I just don't like the navigation of it at all. I'm too used to itunes super easy interface. So far the drag and drop method seems to be working....and I can keep a folder of her music separate from mine.

Ok i just ordered the one from Buy.com. I hope i can figure it out! It took me a couple of hours to figure out DD Ipod Shuffle last Xmas!
