Hi everybody! I've been really busy the last few days, but I had to drop by & say hello.

I just had a bit of a shock. I've been subscribing to a thread for a long time, the "have you ever had a shock" on the Theme Park board. Well, just was reading some stuff & got to the end & one of the mods over there closed it because of all the compliants! Now, when it started out (I think in 2003) it was just that--shocking things. But lately, people have been posting pictures of weird things, some of the posts have been nasty & rude, and I guess people have been reporting posts! But I can't say I'm surprised. Just a bit shocked!

dm3-do you have ANYTHING that will be suitable? Maybe try to find a sale. Lots of stores are having them since fall stuff is in.

Everyone was baggin' on my cow this past week, and now that she's gone, you girls are finally realizing how special she really was. *sniff*

Yeah, the tone of the thread really has changed lately. It used to be good for a few laughs. There is a poster who really has a nasty edge & he/she brought it down. Too bad.

I need a link for that thread! I love to read locked threads. I do hate it when people seem to enjoy getting threads closed. Was it too bad for the offending posts to be removed?

I have one dress I got from my sister that might work. I am going to try it on tonight. I have one other possibility but it is linen and it has been so humid around here lately that it will wrinkle horribly. Especially since I am going to be in the car for so long on the way there. I will have to hit some stores during VBS next week. Man I have a lot to cram in while those little people are gone!

I agree. I had subbed to that thread probably two years ago and it was a lot of fun for a really long time. Lately though I have not even bothered reading it. It will be interesting to see if a WM unlocks it but I doubt that would happen.

Thanks Chuck and T/B. I had an okay day overall. Just kind of a regular day really but that is okay. My kids are hyped out because of this trip tomorrow and I have to go fold clothes and load them into the suitcase. Yippee!

One very cool thing that happened is that my sister called me. From her veranda on the cruise ship in Alaska!!! Another sister stopped by and brought me a Panera gift card and another one had called me last night. Got a card from a fourth sister (there are 6 of them) last week. I think they are all making double sure to contact me this year 'cause with our mom's bday having been the day before mine we have spent it together always until last year and then of course this year. I love having big sisters.
