Hey all!
How is everyone today? I still feel like I'm dragging around a 50lb weight with me- I'm starting to wonder if my thyroid is out of whack. I take medicine for it, but it seems like I'm off. Does anyone else have thyroid issues?
Has anyone heard from Steph lately?

It was good. DS decorated most of his projects with a video game character. The pride is flowing.

I am very tired. It is going to be a looooong week of family stuff and I am getting a cold. Not good for Scuba.

Glad you found respite from the heat in the pool.

Tell me about Scuba, please. It's something I have always wanted to try, but I'm kind of chicken.

No, the pool was like bath water, but it was something to do that didn't involve laundry or dishes! :rotfl2: Of course the laundry and dishes are still waiting for me...

At least your son didn't decorate most everything with glitter...I hate glitter!

Don't knock glitter, used it the right places in can make a real impression :rotfl: .

Merle, I also hate K-mart and haven't been in one in years. The one near us, at least, was filthy, crowded, and just not worth going to. Worse than our Wal-Mart, which is saying a lot.

We just got back from the pool. It is so hot out--98 degrees according to weather.com. Too hot to be out without being in the water.

Briarmom, how was the art show?

luv, how is the puppy?

Yeah, our KMart is the same. They have been taken over by Sears, there is one of those in VA and it is nicer. It is called Sears Express or something like that. She and I went one day because they had this laundry hamper I wanted. It had KMart on the bottom of the box. They are having a renovation sale right now so they may be converting to the Sears store.

Good point! :rotfl2: I'll lather up the washcloth! :teeth:

I haven't seen Steph around, come to think of it.

When we were at Disney this past trip the baby pool at OKW was like that, it was nasty. You should have taken the laundry and dishes with you, kill two birds one stone. :rotfl: At least it's better then floaters.

Glitter- the bain of a childcare providers existance, can't get that crap off of anything.

I wonder if she's working a lot, they are having the same hot weather and they may be having lots of fires.

I have not done any actual SCUBA yet. We had classroom on Monday and took 4 quizzes and a final test. Today we are going to the pool. The class is going to dive on Sat and Sun in a local lake. I am going to do my first dives in the Red Sea. It will be neater than a local lake I am sure. :teeth:

I was trying to find a wetsuit at the class and I was having trouble. I am too big for them all. The other girl in my class is probably a size 2. Maybe less than that. She had to wear a 7/8 wetsuit. So...the teacher realized that since I wasn't doing the lake dives, I didn't need a wetsuit. I imagine that I will be freeeeeezing tonight after 4 hours in the pool. Plus my sinuses are hurting. I don't think I am supposed to dive. I hope it is ok.

Glitter?!?

I bet Steph is with luv. They are shopping without us. :sad2:

Alright so I read back through my last three posts and Angel is right- I'm totally random.
Briarmom- Let me know how the actual pool Scuba goes tonight. I'm curious and I have no life!
bigmerle1966- Kmart is not one of my favorites. Here its horrible (makes Walmart look like Nordstroms) there's so much crap in the aisles that you can't walk through any of them. They had something in one of their ads weeks and weeks ago so I decided to pop in, took one look at the store and decided to pop out. If yours is anything like the one in our town, please bring a hard hat with you and watch out for falling inventory.

True about the fires and Steph maybe working a lot.

Speaking of getting the crap off of things, besides Bb, has anyone read the crap thread? Yikes!!!

I go there maybe once a year, but one time there were several shelves of candy in the laundry detergent section. :confused3 The majority of the shelves in this store are less than 5 ft apart and are at least 8 to 9 feet high.

T&B- I think we might be van buddies. What year is your Honda?

PLEASE, no talk about crap in aisles!!! Not after that thread! :rotfl2:

Ours is a 2006 Honda in the champagne color (I know that's not the name, but I'm drawing a blank as to the color and champagne sounds good right now...not that I've had any in years, but still :rotfl: ). I think I need a nap. And I'm the queen of random! :lmao:

Tell me all about how terrible it is to have a puppy! I haven't had one since I got a puppy when I was in high school. Both of our existing dogs came to us as full grown dogs (we didn't want to get a puppy when we got Magic, even though I could have been convinced and we weren't planning on getting a dog when we got Sheena). I have a strong suspicion that if we ever get another dog I would push for a puppy. I'm hoping with advice from you and the Marley book, I will change my mind. :rotfl:

luv, you would have liked where we had dinner. Never been there before. It's a vegetarian restaurant and was so good. We have a couple vegie Chinese restaurants and a vegie Indian restaurant in the area, but this isn't a certain cuisine. http://www.great-sage.com/ I'm stuffed! And I still need a nap.

Or lobster...

T&B, when people say that having a puppy is like having a newborn or toddler in the house, they are spot on. Plus, they have the ability to travel at the speed of light and don't wear a diaper! :headache: I think part of it is that Boomer's a Golden--they are just so active and playful and busy and want to be around you *all* the time! I literally can't leave Boomer alone for a second because he'll be into into something--chewing on the baseboards, flipping over his waterbowl, pouncing on the Chihuahuas... It's been like that for five days now and as cute and sweet and loving as he is (as my beloved Gilda Radner would say), "It's always something!" We crate him at night because he can't be trusted yet, but he cries and howls and BARKS--I'm honestly waiting for the neighbors to ring us at 2am telling us to shut him up! I keep saying to myself that puppyhood too shall pass, but it can't be soon enough!

That restaurant looks cool! Chris and I are going to a new place for lunch tomorrow--Moe's Southwestern Grill. They have a lot of vegetarian options, and funny names for dishes--one called The Other Lewinsky  so we're going to give it a try. :)

simply put, no (I would have simply put "no", but the damn error message said the message was too short  )

He was persecuted by those who unjustly judged him by his outer shell. Tormented souls never rest. They seek only...retribution...... :scared1:
