I probably won't be able to do it Sunday. Once again I'll be searching for free Wi-Fi places since my Mom didn't have internet. I maybe able to be there, just not opening presents. Sitting in Panera, McDonalds, Safeway or Starbucks and opening our gifts seems sort of weird!

Please tell me I'm going to make it through this trip to California. My sister just called me. She is down there already and called from my Mom's place, so Caller ID comes up with my Mom's name. Andrew and I were planning on renting a U-Haul trailer and towing it behind our van on the way home. My sister was going to put stuff in it and get a storage unit here in Seattle till the spring. (the ferry from here to Sitka doesn't run again till spring) Well. she says to me, 'how big a trailer are you getting? It's going to need to be big enough for the sofa, end tables and cedar chest.' I guess he has already decided that she is going to have those. Why do I see my future of driving either our van or a U-Haul truck home, with Andrew driving the other?

Yes, I knew a couple weeks ago she was going down earlier than us. We can take the cost of the rental out of my Mom's estate. I jut don't want to have to drive one vehicle and have Andrew drive the other.

No, it wasn't ever really discussed. She has just sort of decided. It's not even that I want those things. Alana has said she wants my Mom's stereo and I'm good with that. There are things I want too, but I was planning on talking with her about it. My things would fit in the trailer, but now I don't know.

My suggestion would be that your sis have her stuff moved by a professional mover if she is going to take that much.
