We have been so slow...they cut full timers to 32 hours

our full timers are cut to 38, but allowed 39.5, part timers and seasonal are laid off completely though. last week we opened every morning with 8 employees counting management, and closed with 15, max of 24 in the store at one time. its really making it hard on those of us that are there, trying to cover one dept alone is tough, but there are times now we cover three to 4 at once. one day last week i had electrical, plumbing,seasonal,and appliances all at the same time for an hour. add the hours to the fact we have new regional management who is a white glove kinda guy,and has demanded our store that was let go for 2 years be spotless in 30 days.. makes for a job thats really hard to get up and go into every day. just biding time till feb when the hours are reinstated and we get some more help in the store again.

Birthday was great, but I'm glad to be home. I caught a bad cold from some lovely child at Disney The decorations were beautiful, the weather was great.

Hmm, a post of mine didn't post. Since I tried to post it, I called my dr and made an appt for this afternoon for my spots and cancelled PT for tomorrow since I don't know if I'm contagious.

Wow, Frog, that's a lot of store to have to be in charge of. And with white glove expectations, it seems impossible.

Hi Miss J! We were at Animal Kingdom early Saturday, and Magic Kingdom later on. We had dinner at Narcoosies at the Grand Floridian. I was looking around for you, but it was so crowded! The decorations everywhere were so beautiful!

Well crap. I had my eyes open for you, too. We never did make it to the MK though. We just weren't in the mood to deal with the crowds over there. We had lunch at the Yakking Yeti and it was good. I highly recommend the lettuce cups, fried green beans and the dim sum basket. The Yak Attack (a specialty drink) was yummy, too. DH tried a couple of the Asian beers.
