PMS in a Handbasket--Don't be afraid, just bring us food... Part 22

I want to run away from home.
I don't live far away...I'm just sayin'. We really do need to get the boys together sometime. Which of course doesn't help you with your running away, but did make me think of it. :)

OK, my family is home from their first round of errands and we are off. :wave2: I couldn't remember how many vicodin I took so I took another. :3dglasses

ETA...Jake thought that we were picking apples instead of going to look at Apples. LOL

hi all. Kelly is resting. Doped on morphine. Her temp is up to 99.7, so they are watching it. She has phlegm in her lungs so every time she wakes up we try to make her cough. It hurts, but it's better than pneumonia. She is not taking as much morphine as she can, which is good. I am going to get to sleep at home tonight, so no hanging around here. I haven't had much sleep the last 2 nights, so it's my night to sleep while, while daddy gets the attractive and incredibly comfortable hospital foldout chair/bed. LOL

Shar! Glad she is on her way to recovery and hope you can get some rest.

Just opened a letter from my doc. He wants to discuss my bloodwork with me. Well it can't be that bad or he'd have called right? Right. I am sure. :lmao: I am answering myself now.

agreed:hug:

Shar, hugs to your family, and to Caro - I SO know what you are going through - losing a parent, well - consider yourself hugged.
DD15 is here for the weekend - she got two Fs on her report card so she won't be going anywhere. I informed her that she is not allowed to IM or talk on the phone while doing homework. She slammed her bedroom door in my face and screamed, "What is your F------- problem?":scared1: [neither of my children have ever dropped the f bomb in front of me before] I took her door off the hinges for slamming it, and unhooked her internet for swearing. She just called her stepmother, bawling and complaining that I "don't give her any privacy" and that I "won't let her do her homework". She asked her stepmother to come get her. Apparently she is on the way. *SIGH* Even when I think I am being a good parent, it backfires on me.

Shar, I hope she continues to improve and doesn't have any more set-backs.

So much for me going...Jake came home from getting his Halloween costume asking if he could bring a blanket in the van for the other errands. Of course we know what that means. 100.7 temp now, but he's still cold so it will likely go higher. He just got over a fever a couple weeks ago.

You ARE being a good mother. She's being a teenager :sad2:

Would someone PLEASE make them stop playing the ASPCA commercial with Sara McLachlan singing Arms of the Angels? I've cried enough!

If I flash the monitor, will you stop crying, Shug? I just got a really pretty turquoise blue b** too - wanna see?

Snowy, it sounds like you're being a great parent, it sounds like the other parents are not giving you the support they should be giving you.

Myst...really bad would have been a phone call, note in the mail probably means a new diet.

Shar, glad she's out of PICU.

Tig....hugs for Jake, poor bubba!

If it were horrible, he'd have called.

Snowy, you are a good parent. She just thinks she has a backup. One day they'll both see that you were doing the right thing for them. Hang in there.

It's kinda satisfying to take a door off the hinges, isn't it? :teeth:

Poor little guy.

That commercial needs to be taken off the air.

   Snowy. You are a wonderful mom and are doing exactly as you should be doing. I'm so sorry that she's behaving that way and even more sorry that has adults who will rescue her like that. They are not doing her a favor in the long run.

Jake is sure not talking like he's sick, other than his voice sounding funny because he has a sore throat. The child hasn't stopped talking. :rotfl:

I haven't seen that commercial, Shug, but it sounds like one that would have me crying, too.

OK...off to pick up dinner. We're doing take out because my childeren are too poorly behaved to take out in public.

I bet you are borderline on something. Otherwise he would have called you. BTW, Myst, looks like my sister and I will be at WDW mid-May. Of course, no plans are made yet, but maybe we can see each other.
