your kids think it will be funny? poor you !
I hope hes suportive. Its not like its an all day job and you can still be home in the evenings with the kids. Its a great opportunity. I hope I can get a job at the schools next year when my youngest starts .

He's not going to have a problem with me getting a job. I think he'll be glad. It gets me out of the house and hopefully meet some people. Plus it gives us extra moola which is always nice. Anytime I ever worked in the past it was always the fun money. It would go towards vacations or fun things. We are very fortunate that his salary can support us and I don't have to work unless I want to.

I'm feeling very blah today and am not sure what the problem is...very on edge, if you know what I mean.

Could it be because you are headed home soon?

Awwww!!!

Thanks guys!

Did you guys ever miss a milestone and wish you could go back and edit that one post to something profound....

Yeah...me either:rotfl2:

Yeah cause I usually manage to do my milestones elsewhere. :sad2:

if anyone has a problem with me, let me know. k.

What are you talking about Ash?

Well I, for one, need to have a get drunk and cry fest sometime really soon (after mom's surgery tomorrow). You are all welcome to join me, then we can PUI together.

Friday night! That way we don't have to worry about work on Saturday. :thumbsup2

Is it a full moon?

Nope!

just a drive by to say HELLO and I LUV YOU GUYS!

Lara, I am praying so hard for your mom tomorrow. You can snot on me too if you need!

Tiffer do you need to borrow the instigator title? I didnt see you had a thread.

Ok off to the dr with oldest kid.......catch you guys later.

Sigh...when did the Dis stop being about ADRs and codes and inane polls about doorknobs and become about watching your back because you never know who'll plunge the knife next and your best friend may just give it a twist for good measure. :sad2: I don't want to be in a place where my every word is analyzed, looking for any sign of imperfection, where the most innocent offhand remark becomes a fight for your life and reputation because some mom with a couple kids 4 states away, who's never even seen you, decides she knows you all too well. I don't want to hang out in a place where so many people take such delight in not only watching people be attacked but in selling tickets to the show. I've all but quit posting here because of it. When you rewrite every post 6 times to make sure no one misconstrues it, it's time to find somewhere else to play.

Don't get me wrong. This isn't a YAGE. I'm not leaving the PMS though I'm sure our silent friends would love to see us fall apart. Thing is, this bunch is like a noose. The harder you pull on us, the tighter we get. I'm not leaving the CH and I'm sure not leaving you all. I just have enough drama and sadness in my life and I know the rest of us do too. I'm only giving my energy to those who can return it in a positive way from now on. That pretty much means everyone here and the few others around here who learned that playground politics and bully behavior was uncool in middle school.

I miss the Dis I first stumbled upon. Or maybe I just didn't know it well enough then to know it was really like this :sad1:

Good Day!
I love living with Dr Jeckyle and Mr Hyde. (aka Alana) :sad2: In less than 30 seconds, she went from sitting next to me on the sofa being nice, to storming off down the hallway to her room because she was mad at me. This was due to the fact that I wouldn't let her have a Capri Sun. She had just finished one about 10 minutes ago that she hadn't finished yesterday and felt another one would be good. She has already picked a fight with Kathryn over spelling Paige's name wrong.

Lara, it's sinking in to me that if Molly moves out Sept. 1st, there's every chance she'll never live at home again. While I think it's a good thing for her and for us if it happens, the enormity of the thing is starting to feel a little like a huge boulder on my chest.
 I'm dreading that stage in my girls life.

Good Morning everyone !
My kids are already having homework. I agree school is so expensive but understand why they ask for so much extra. Class donations etc. Yearbooks at the high school are 55 bucks this year and 35 at the middle school. Not to mention each teacher in middle school wants their own 1 1/2 inch binder. They are only allowed 2 trips to their locker a day so its heavy stuff to carry around not to mention if they have homework from 1 and 2 period then they are carrying that from like 11 o'clock on. My BF weighed her daughters back pack with all her binders and books it was 19 lbs. We are creating a generation of injured backs before they get a chance to really use them. The high school doesnt even have lockers. They carry all their stuff all day !!

High today is 106 tomorrow 107 !! Im ready for winter.
be happy they have lockers. We have no lockers at our schools, so they carry their stuff around all day. Alana's backpack is incredibly heavy.
I guess I really need to start getting school supplies. I've really done nothing to get ready for school this year. :sad2:

Well I, for one, need to have a get drunk and cry fest sometime really soon (after mom's surgery tomorrow). You are all welcome to join me, then we can PUI together.
I could use a good cry right now too. I'd love to join you all in a drink, but I still have to work today. Have some drinks for me, please!
I'll be thinking of your Mom tomorrow, Lara.

Well now I am in a MOOD!

Someone did something at work that completely screws me over and I'm going to have to deal with the fall out for, literally, years! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Shuggie...know what you're talking about.

Caro....next time have a tantrum back.

OK...I knew I didn't have long here...I have to jump back into the frey. This afternoon is my "you suck" afternoon where I yell at people who didn't do their jobs correctly. At least this will be fun.

Ooh, ooh, I want to yell "you suck" at people - need any help? :yay: :yay:

Shuggie,

Good afternoon all :grouphug:

Lara I will be thinking of you and your mom.

Shug I understand that for sure.

For everyone with children just going to school, or leaving home, or spreading their wings....Kudos and :grouphug: for doing a great and difficult job.

Hmmmm......so Dh and I were talking about work, his work. We were talking about some fromer emloyees who have a very succeful company down south. He says "you know, if we move south I could easily work for them". I said yes but it's Florida (He always said he would never live in Florida). He says I know, but you'd be near Mickey. :lmao: I also told him I wouldn't mind working for WDW. I also reminded him that we could go next year and he agreed. :scratchin

Wow, what a day for problems. Here is mine... Please help...

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1549286

I read it  I don't know what to say. I think that I'd ask for a teacher/the principal to sit down one on one with him to teach a concept and see how he does at grasping it. They should be able to assess if he would be able to catch up.

If it was detail work, I have to tell you that I always zoomed through tests and messed up the detail. If he retakes it and the importance of concentration is explained, will he do better?

I didn't want to post this on your thread because a couple of us had already posted and we're a tad obvious right now.

How exciting for you!

I'd rather be in North Carolina though, but south is south. Anywhere away from here is a step in the right direction. My sis did buy a place not too long ago in Orlando for when they retire so I know she'll be heading there eventually.
