Tig--I did not know you were having an EMG. Those are kind of icky but hey best I can say is I lived through it. That was one in my long line of tests too.

I probably should have taken a percocet before the test--that would have helped. I didn't take anything and was ready to pop one after, but I've been fine. Took Ibu just in case.

Curious about something Tig. When was your last head MRI? I know you get alot of migraines and as much as I hate to say this have they ever checked you for signs of a past stroke? If you are having some weakness on your left side it is a distinct possibility. I was hospitalized once for a possible stroke but then they said no it was a migraine I have weakness on the left and when I smile the left side of my face doesn't "work" right but they still say no stroke. We are not convinced.

Anyways, not to scare you but something to maybe look into.

OK, I just cancelled the Med cruise.

But I booked 4 nights at POR for me and the kids and then (drumroll) the 7 night Eastern!!!! I am feeling very nervous that I am doing this alone. I've taken ds on a trip to Disneyland, but nothing like this. Dd is likely to run off...I hope she is 40 inches. I am not afraid to get her a pair of high sandals for Splash and Soarin. She would love them. She really wants to go into the Briar Patch!

Just driving by during my one tiny little break in today's schedule between 11am and 8pm. Aaaaaaargh! Nothing special wrong today, just too too busy and I guess I do have a little headache. 4's, my last MRI of my brain was I think Oct 2005. At that point nothing was detected besides a brain.

Hi.

Tig...I am glad you got some good news about your leg. My DH had nerve damage in one leg from a back injury ( he had to have surgery). The doctor told him it could take up to one year for the nerves to heal.

You might experience some shooting pains...but DH was told that was a good thing.

Hey guys. I have been avoiding posting this but here goes. I finally seem to have a diagnosis. However, it sucks and I don't like it. It sounds like I have what is called neuromylitis optica. It is kind of like MS in that the myelin sheath covering your nerves is attacked and degraded by your own immune system. Unlike MS however there is not a whole world of doctors working on a cure or at least medications to slow the progression of the disease. That part is pissing me off. The brain is not invovled in NMO as it is in MS but the optical nerves can be affected in that it can cause partial or complete vision loss. Guess that explains my funny vision if I get overtired huh?

I am cranky. I am a bit in denial, I am a bit in freak out mode. I feel like if I let go, I would not be handling this well at all.
