Hi girls! We are in Florida at our hotel at Port Canaveral! I'm exhausted after taking the red eye last night. Andrewand I are going to go to Wal Mart and pick up some stuff(drinks(alcoholic!), sunglasses for Kathryn and some other stuff.
We had some crazy ladies sitting behind us on one flight. They had all had doubles to drink and their conversation wascrazy. Can anyone tell me about smoking banana peels? They were discussing that and also measuring cashews by the gallon! They finally went to sleep.
I'm typing for the first time ever on a lap top, it takes some getting used too!
If someone can fill me in on happenings here, that would be great! I'm NOT reading back since I haven't been on in almost 2 days!
I'll ckeck in periodically(sipping something yummy, I'm sure!) while we are gone!

I'm trying to make a grocery list for the week and having a hard time coming up with some new and exciting meal ideas. (geez... that sounds like something from a cooking show commercial).

Do you mean instead of taco beef? Refried beans. Also sometimes black beans, but always refried. And then everything else.

Excuse me, sometimes I am stupid. I couldn't for the life of me think of what you could use instead of meat. Like my mother doesn't have 10 cans of refried beans in the house.

I thought of your mother when I was in my pantry and couldn't find a damn thing because there is so much food in there. My DH buys and buys and buys.... There is literally no place to put anything and he still buys more. Says it's on sale. WTH cares if we don't need it? He likes going to the grocery store and every time that he's going I tell him not to get anything that goes in the pantry unless it's a specific thing that we need. Last time he went shopping he came home with hardly any fruit--that we did need (and I'd asked him to get).

Our freezer is like that and it's because my mother has to go out and buy stuff for my sister. Right now there are all of these Hungry Man dinners in there for my BIL.

And there are about 6 1-quart cartons of non-dairy creamer in there. I asked her about it the other night, they are a friend of her's, she is keeping them in our freezer for her.

Now if I need to get frozen meals for myself I will have to go in and carefully rearrange both that freezer and the one in the fridge to fit stuff.

My DH was like this before we got married. I remember he had 12 boxes of dishwasher detergent and tons of canned veggies. I hate canned veggies so they went to the food pantry after the honeymoon .

BTW, I wondered too what Tig put in tacos other than meat. I couldn't imagine tofu would be good but couldn't think of anything else . My brain is mush .

I like tofu and have had tofu in a burrito once...it was an option at one of the counter serve burrito places (Moes, I think). Figured I would try it, but not in Mexican food.
