I know the monorail is now no longer running later than 1 hour past normal park hours.

But on a EMH PM night at MK, is the ferry still running back to the TTC? We were planning on driving, so I was curious if we would have a problem getting back to the parking lot.

I am not totally positive, but I think so. The monorail closures are to perform monorail maintenance, as far as I know. What I do know is that Disney won't leave guests stranded in the park. If you don't get an answer from the board, just talk to a cast member. That's what I did in March when I was convinced that I had no way home from Epcot. A kind cast member pointed me towards the buses, which were being used to transport guests who were staying in resorts on the monorail loop.

Also, I have always found it easier to use Disney transportation from my resort to MK, rather than driving, parking, and then having to get on ANOTHER mode of transport in order to get to the park. Just some advice...your personal situation may necessitate the need to drive there, but just trying to be helpful!

The main reason we would plan to drive is my DH has a digestive disease that usually results in frequent restroom stops. If he becomes anxious, it is worse. Relying on the buses, bumpy and potentially frequent stops (we've never stayed onsite so we have no idea), it could cause an issue if he has a sudden urge and not have control on when he can stop. So driving is going to be our preferred method of transportation to help prevent him from becoming anxious. Plus, I want to be able to ride the monorail and ferry at some point for our kids, so any chance I will get, we will enjoy ;)

I think if your DH gets stressed on a bus, he would be even more stressed on the monorail. With the monorail there is always the chance of being stopped on the track for a little while. And you are truly trapped up on the tracks.

What resort are you staying at? That can make a huge difference as far as transportation to the parks goes.

We are staying at POR. But I was just curious about what the transportation options are from the MK back to the parking lot on a PM EMH night if the monorail is not running.
