PM EMH - how does it work?

DH and I have never done PM EMH, only AM. How do they know who can stay? Does everyone have to depart the parks and re-enter? Sorry if this has been asked often but 'search' is not cooperating with my phone right now.

We didn't have to re-enter but we did have to show KTTW cards to enter the attractions.

After the park closes for normal hours, everyone in your party will need their resort room keys to enter the rides. You will need to present a room key for each member of your party as you enter the ride que.
