PM Buddies round 3

I started Atkins just over 2 weeks ago. I am down 3lbs. I am "undertall" and need to honestly lose about 50lbs to be at the ultimate healthy weight. I would be happy w/the first 10, then the next ten,etc.;)

I am a SAHM and spend way too much time on the computer. I have tried walking but not consistently. I am a baby about weather conditions (might be an excuse :eek: ) I am planning to buy the WATP and/or pilates tapes but right now we are on a very strict budget because we just bought this house in Feb.

I am 5'2.5" and weigh 172lbs.:eek:
I wear size 12 in most & shy away from size 14 (I just refuse to buy that size!!!)

I'm 45.
I'm doing WW. I have lost 20 pounds so far, but have a long way to go...at least another 75 pounds more. (I'd like to shoot for 100, but that number scares me)

I had a lot of support from the 8 Mom's from dance that joined with me, but they have all dropped out already so I'm going it alone! I now have an even better motive to lose this weight...I want to show them what I can do and say..."see, if you would have stuck it out..this could be you!"

Let's see, I also have 3 kids...all girls...10, 13 and 15....15 year old causes me tons of stress!

Here's a little about me. I'm mid 30's, Stay at home and homeschooling mom. I started WISH at 156 and am now 152.4. I'd like to get to 125/130'ish. I'm like Jomrog....spend way too much time on the computer. I have recently started at Curves, but I also need to get out walking, biking, playing, etc.

I'm not doing a formal plan, but I'm using the "rules" from the Weigh Down Workshop....I've taken their classes in the past and have all the tapes and workbooks to follow. Basically you only eat when you are TRULY hungry (stomach growl) and STOP eating when you are satisfied (not bulging full) The first time through the program I dropped 20 pounds in 12 weeks and kept it off for a year.....but then decided (consciously) to overeat and eat too frequently.

I have a terrible history of heart disease (mostly the men) in my family, but I know as a woman I'm not immune. My last cholesterol was in the 200's somewhere. My mother was just diagnosed with type II diabetes and it's a smack in the face for me to start making changes in my life NOW!!

I was looking for this thread too! I thought I had missed the deadline - count me in!
I'm approaching a BIG birthday - I'm doing Atkins & Curves and have lost 10 lbs with Atkins - a total of 26 lbs since last fall - I seriously need to lose another 90 lbs! I feel that I'm on the right track now & will be down a few more lbs when we go to WDW/Cruise next month!

errr....they say "moving buddy" don't they. ;)

Anyway, house_of_princesses privately emailed me and it seems we are twins separated at birth! :) About the same current weight, about the same goal weight, we've both done weigh down, both homeschool......and both have ties to Ohio.

Hmmm....my dad used to tell me I was adopted...I thought it was his way of saying "we can return you at any time" but maybe it IS true. :)

So, Jiminy, please "officially" buddy up h_o_p with me. :) (she said it was ok!) Thanks!
