Ok Since we have a lot of new Wishers and I get pm's occassionaly form people asking for a PM buddy lets have another round of sign ups!!!!!!!! I will take sign ups until next Saturday June 7 and I will Pm everyone there buddy on Sunday June 8!! So let me know the program you are doing, how much you wnat to loose, how much you have lost and any other info you would like to share!!!! This is a great suppport tool so come get your buddy!!!

Okay I've been putting this off for sometime now. I'll tell you why. I had a PM buddy from another board that i have gotten the most wonderful support from but now she's gone. She's gone because he husband thought she spent to much time on the computer and asked her to box it up. I feel so lost this past week without her support. Guys without this board and my buddy i don't know if i would have ever had this kind of success. I need a pm buddy to save me to listen to me whine and to share my ups and downs with and to encourage them and help them along there way as well. Please someone match up with me so i can stop grieving over my lost pm buddy. I'm so sad without my pm buddy now.

I forgot to add this so here i go.

I need a PM buddy DESPARATELY!

I started on this board 2 weeks ago and have lost about 2 lbs thus far (down to 166 or so. Darn scale giggles more than a bowl full of Jello). These past 2 weeks I've been under a lot of stress at work and weekends are the worst for me eating wise. So I need all the help I can get.

I am currently doing a "modified" WW plan -- meaning I can't afford to join the WW group, but I do know the general plan so I've been trying (and sadly, often failing) to stay within my points range. And I'm also into walking -- try to do at least 30 minutes every day, along with some arm weight (5 lbs) work outs.
 
Doctor suggested I loose another 20lbs to get me to 130. I lost 15lbs last Sept-Nov and managed to keep it off so Im partway there. Weighed 146 today - lost 3lbs this wk!
Heart disease is hereditary in my family so Im cutting out the fat; eating fruits/vegs - cut out the "crap" snacks. I eat convenience foods. I'll take the time to wash/cut veggies/fruit but not the time to cook a proper meal.

For exercise, I walk the gerbil track with pajammatam.
 
I think a PM buddy would be great. I am doing WW, have lost almost 15 pounds and have a grundle more. I will likely need a buddy 10 to 12 months from now. My husband is very supportive of my doing this, but very sweetly still tells me I'm beautiful. He's definitely a keeper! I'm inconsistent about my time on the DIS but if I developed a relationship with my buddy I could give them another email address where I could be reached almost daily in an emergency. (A chocolate attack!) Please find me a buddy.

I am doing Atkins, and have 20 lbs to go! I have lost 60lbs since the day before my baby was born, and am currently 20 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight. I just crossed into the "healthy" weight classification, but still have some pounds to lose.

I am a MAJOR carb addict, so I have to stay completely away from breads, etc--one bite and I am on a 2-3 day carb binge! Atkins is the perfect plan for me, and the only one that I have had any success with.

I am a new mom of a 10 month old girl, and I work out of my home. I would love to be matched up with someone with a similar situation!
 
Here's my stats- started 4/1/03 weighing 236- down 19 pounds to 217....Started out on slimfast- keeping that up but the bulk of my energy is being put into training for the walking marathon- I'm walking 15-18 miles a week and working out at the Y two days. I slimfast probably 12 meals a week and the others are whole grains, veggies, fruits and meat.

My first goal is to be in Onederland by our next Disney trip 9/23- and ultimately be anywhere below 150 by next April Fools Day- I figure giving myself a year to lose 86 pounds is healthy enough!

I have been on Weight Watchers for 3 weeks. So far I have lost 7.6 pounds and I have a long way to go before I get to my goal--140 more pounds. My major hurdles are going to be sweets and exercise--I love one and avoid the other at all costs. Guess which is which! ;) Yep, I think you've got it! I tend to get a lot of stress at work and a lot of goodies to avoid there too. I'm beginning to walk for exercise but I really have to push myself to do it. I am doing it though, because I am determined I am going to get healthy!

I just signed up this weekend, but I think that I already have a pm buddy. That is if imgoingtodisney still wants to be my buddy. We are both about the same weight and have nearly the same goal weight.
 
Count me in, Jiminy!! Accountability works for me!! (And I love making new friends!!) I'm a WW'er, am too short for my weight, and have about 25 pounds to go.

BTW, I will be camping until 6/11, so won't be able to respond to my new PM Buddy until I get back. Don't want her/him to think they got a dud buddy!! :D
 
I'd like a PM buddy.

I started Atkins 2 weeks ago. I have lost 17 lbs. since 1/1/03. 12 lbs. since joining WISH. My goal is 120 (27 lbs. to go). I have 2 DDs (5 & 2).

Match me up with somebody good. (I take that back, you can't go wrong with the group on this board :D )

I did WW (went to the meetings) last year and lost 19 1/2 lbs. Gained 9 of those back over the last year.

I started WISH doing WW on my own 4 weeks ago, and I lost 5 lbs. For me, slow and steady wins the race. Right now I weigh 160 lbs. on my magic scale (okay, its a few pounds on the low side) ;) . I'd like to lose 10 pounds by my 20th high school reunion in mid July. (I need to kick it up a notch.)

I am just eating healthy and exercising, I have about 80-90lbs. left to lose. I started at 224, currently weigh 218 and would eventually like to be somewhere in the 120-140 zone. :)
 
I would love a PM buddie!

I have been doing Atkins for 3 weeks with a total loss of 6 lbs (5 on WISH). I too, am "short for my weight" :teeth: Boy do I love that one!!! I feel like the weight loss is going very slowly. As soon as I got that 5 lb clippie I realized that actually 6 lbs in 3 weeks is OK. I would love to stay on the 2 lb/week track!

Anyway, I have about (gulp) 40 more pounds to lose. That would put me shopping at the small (very) end of the Junior Dept. :jester:. That would provide it's own challenges :rolleyes: so I may not want to lose the whole 40 so I can look closer to my age. Which is, BTW, still (barely) in my 30s. We shall see....

I would love a fellow Atkins PM buddy if possible.

I definitely could use a PM buddy. I just started a few weeks ago and have lost 5 pounds, but I have so many different occasions coming up, I need support to get through them. Weddings, graduations, showers, family get togethers. I was doing great and then went to a graduation party on Sunday. Stayed away from the lasagna, but overdid on macaroni salad and brownies. Help! Anyway, I would love to have a pm buddy. I am doing a loose version of WW and have a lot of weight to lose and tend to get impatient. Also, you are great! It's so encouraging to come over to these boards and see everyone is fighting the weight battle together.
 
Thanks, Jiminy, I'd love a PM buddy as well. I've lost about 30 pounds since November, 2002 and have a minimum of 15 (maybe 25) to go. I'm trying to eat healthy and do WATPs. In the past couple of weeks, I seem to have stagnated, going up a pound or two and losing those same pounds. UGH!
