Plz recommend a 1 credit TS meal for Me, DH, DD5 & DD3 non park, non character, and if possible why your family enjoyed it? BTW~this is for 1 wk form today :sad2: , I just had to make a last minute change!

Our family favorite is the Wolfgang Puck Cafe in Downtown Disney. The food is delicious for all ages (but even moreso for adults) and the atmosphere is lively. We also love 'Ohana and Whispering Canyon Cafe. Both are great for kids and the activities allow for them to get up and move around if they are feeling restless.

I have no idea of your likes/dislikes when it comes to food. A little more info would really help.

Yup, without that kind of information we're just taking shots in the dark.

Here's mine: Spoodles.

I vote for Spoodles, too. Another great choice would be Boma.

If you want something in park, how about Mama Melrose?

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. Good food and you can go down to the beach afterwards (or stay by the big glass windows) and watch Wishes.

Beaches and Cream - burgers and ice cream - you kids will probably be in heaven. And hey, no reservations required.

You asked for a 1 credit restaurant that's not in a theme park. I don't know where you're going to be. Spoodles is a good choice. Take a bus to the Disney-MGM studios then walk or take a boat. Kona or Ohana is good choice if you want a restaurant in a MK resort. Boma is good if you want an excuse to see the AKL.

Where you can get an ADR might dictate which restaurant you select.

We love Ohana's. We also, made a last minute decision to to go Planet Hollywood. The menu was the same as a TGI Fridays, but it was all really tasty.

Thanks guys! More Info ~ we will have our van, looking for something like WCC (we've never been here, but sounded like fun for DDs w/out characters, like our other 3 TS! :goodvibes). Right about ADRs ~ tried WCC nothing until 9, however really thinking about trying a walkup @ 4:30?) O'Hanas also sounds like we were looking for, but we are having breakfast there the next morning. I don't know much about Spoodles? AKL great too, will we really see animals?

:thumbsup2 Thanks so much again, I'd love to hear more!

Check our Boatwright's at POR. After dinner you can take the boat to Downtown Disney, shop a bit a then boat back for your van.

another vote for boma :thumbsup2 great food and its lovely to see the animals and its a close as im likely to get to experiance AKL :rotfl:

The best 1 TS non-park is Raglan Road in Downtown Disney! Excellent appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Huge selection in each category. The food quality here is THE best for a 1 TS restaurant. Boma is a close second, however, last month, the food quality/dessert portions/selections were hugely diminished from prior visits!

I have three suggestions. Boma (great food, and really cool to watch the animals)

O'hana. Family style. Can see fireworks from restaurant if you go at the right time, very kid friendly

Whispering Canyon Cafe- family style restaurant/food. Play games with the kids.

We love Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary. YUMMY food and kids get a cookie to frost and decorate. If you ask, you can be seated where you can see the monorail whooshing overhead. You might even glimpse the characters from nearby Chef Mickeys.

Thanks so much y'all! I think we'll continue to try for WCC, if not Concourse Steak sounds sweet for the kids, I think i've seen the Painter's Pallet on a Food Channel special & thought how much they'd enjoy it, plus DD3 loves shrimp & both love steak! :thumbsup2
