I am wondering if you can help provide some guidance. This morning I see that I have a limited time to snag airfare from my home city to Orlando for less than 1/2 the usual price for some remaining weeks in September. However, I am confident that the cheap airfare will be closed by tomorrow night. I'm aware that Member Services is not open on the weekends.

Is there any way I can check availability on the weekend or do any of you have experience with this issue? I'd be looking at a Sun-Thurs stay (at any of the DVC's is fine) starting Sun 9/17 or 9/24 do I take a chance and book the non-refundable airfare or do I just hope the aifare holds until Monday morning (doubtful!)??? THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE FOR ANY GUIDANCE YOU HAVE!!!

You would have to wait until Monday to check. If you have the points, you could always plan on moving up to a 1br if a studio is not avail any where but a 1 br is, or using in the Disney collection. Or plan on renting at a value resort if you really don't want to pass up the airfare deal. Good luck!

I ran into the same issue the other night. A great rate popped up and all we had to do was add 2 days (could only get the tickets for Saturdays or Mon-Thurs). We had planned on flying out on Sunday and coming back on Friday.

I THOUGHT I had hotel ressies ready to go when I cancelled my other airfare and changed to the new, but then the hotel part didn't work. I was fortunate though that they did have the 2 weekend nights at OKW available for me.

Now for the trip you are looking at, just a couple of weeks away, I'd think you would have a bit of a time getting all 4 nights on points. If you decide to get the airfare, you might want to secure some other hotel arrangements (just in case). Then try DVC Monday morning and if they have anything cancel the other. If not, you'd still have somewhere to stay.

Best of luck.

I bet MS is closed on Monday, too, because of the holiday. Unless they need to make up the hurricane day.

I'll take a guess that there is no availability. We are inside the 60 window where rooms have been turned over to CRO...and with free dining available to cash CRO guests, that would leave me to believe that studios and one bedroom availability for members does not exist for September.

I would not give up so easily. I just snagged OKW ressies for a studio with less than 2 weeks notice. Maybe because it was for Friday/Sat nites.

On 8/8 I was able to book a 1 br at BWV for 9/14-9/19. On 8/14 I was able to upgrade to a 2br. There was availability at most of the DVC's when I called. I know that was 3 weeks ago, but Sept is historically quiet. Even though the rooms have been turned over to CRO, free dining bookings stopped a while ago (6/30 maybe?). Anyway, I think you have a shot but I would have a back up plan.

Good luck! My Sept trip all started with a DING!

you always can check out expedia & disney sites for rooms, paying cash.
we put together a last min. to disney aug. 11 and i was going to pay cash for the weekend and use points sun. thru wed. i could only get sun. & monday night. I went to expedia and booked the poly for $247. :sunny:
