The sizing is weird as I usually find that a UK size 26 is a 22 in the US as they are more generous with their sizing. Think you just need to try everything on and then you can't go wrong. I was also Size 3 in Macys as many of there clothes go in Size 1,2,3 - if I remember correctly

I cannot wait to go shopping in December

trying on is the answer ... I bought 3 tops in Lane Bryant ... one is a 18/20. the others 22/24, and in Macys I bought a 2 and a 3! All depends on the fit!

According to this link, from your sizes hun, it seems the US sizes will be a size downwards from ours. So if you see a US 20, that's a UK 22.

Why they can't be the same is beyond me

Edit for: This link also shows the sizes if using L, XL etc etc

as this thread has bumped back up I thought I'd add to it

I was surprisingly restrained on our trip ... disappointed at the stock in Torrid, very happy with 3 tops from Lane Bryant at the Prime Outlet which were either $12 or $14 each and very very happy with my $6 Tommy Hilfiger top from Macys (I also bought two of their own brand tops for work which I'm wearing all the time). I also found xxl in Gap ladies fitted me ... and I'm a 24 in a top on a good day ... so I was happy

Lane Bryant is still open? I thought they'd gone bankrupt.
If they're at Prime Outlet, then i will definitely have to rent a car so that i can get over there - I've been debating with myself as to whether i should rent on a solo trip...

they were there Easter week ... just checked website and its still there so maybe you do need that car
